RuneScape Pure Guide
If you are reading this guide, you probably don’t really know what a "pure" on RuneScape really is. This is a short guide on pures.
What is a pure you may ask? A pure in RuneScape generally has a few Skills that are very high levels in some skills and level 1 in other Skills.
In RuneScape, most pures have stats designed for pvp (player versus player) combat, however there are many different Skill level layouts for pures. One pure could have 60 Attack, 70 Strength, 1 Defence, 1 Prayer, 1 Ranged, and 1 Magic, while another could have 1 Attack, 90 Strength, 1 Defence, 70 Prayer, 80 Ranged, and 80 Magic. The most common melee pure has level 1 Defence, and usually level 1 Prayer and a high Strength skill. They also usually have either a high Ranged or high Magic skill, or both. A factor to remember when training a pure is that a character’s combat level is a combination of Defence, Hitpoints, Prayer, Summoning, and the highest Skill level out of Magic, Ranged, or a combination of Strength and Attack. An example is when a character with 60 Strength and Attack trains Magic or Ranged from 1 to 40, their combat level will not change. The main point being a pure is to be able to do the most damage possible, at the lowest combat level possible.

Being a pure has its advantages and disadvantages. An advantage of pures is that they are much more powerful than a player of the same combat level. A disadvantage of being a pure is not being able to complete some quest because they either require a Defence or Prayer level, or they give experience points in Defence or Prayer.
The basic idea of is a pure is to be better at pvp (player versus player) combat, but they have to give up part of the fun of the game to do it. Because of this, most pures have another account or character that they use.
It is your decision to make your next account a pure or not.
