RuneScape: PVP World Tactics
Here is a list of tactics to explain where and how to PK in PVP Worlds.
So, have you trained a pure, got some food/potions, and are sure that you’re ready to take on the awesome Player vs. Player worlds? Well, first you will need to learn some key tips to help you take on your enemies. Most pkers learn these strategies through experience, but i will provide you with a chance to learn them in a quick read! Are you ready? Read on.
Section 1: Items.
Pking has always involved risk, and bringing expensive items was always a gamble. With the release of Pvp worlds, people have started to go out of the safe zones wearing nothing and staying at lumbridge. These people are not risking anything, and will respawn only a few squares from where they died, back in lumbridge castle. They, however, are not what Pvp is about, and they will never succeed at Player Killing. Here are some things you will need to successfully Pk. Melee attackers should bring their best scimitar, a strength potion, teleportation runes (only in multi attack zones), armour, and foodl. Rangers need steel arrows (cheap but powerfull) best range outfit, best bow, and food. Mages should bring the best spell if money is not a problem. Monk’s robes are good for all three types of attack, and they provide decent prayer bonus. Charged Fist Of Guthix items are a great choice for mages and rangers, yet it could take long to reobtain if they are not protected.
Section 2: All About Food.
Good “Eating Skills” require great reflexes, and timing. If a player eats well, he will lose less hits, and improve the chance of a kill. When fighting another pure, don’t eat until you wait one hit after your health drops below your estimate of your opponent’s maximum hit. This is good etiquette, and gives the opponent the chance to kill you. People who fail to do this will be called “safers” and the farther you get from lumbridge, the more this rule will apply. When your opponent is eating, do not eat yourself. This will let you hit your opponent and cause him to eat again, while you hit again. This will waste your opponent’s food. If you think that your opponent is using the accurate attack style (High hits are next to each other, compared to random hits of the aggressive style), eat when your opponent is hitting 0’s.
Section 3: Out of food? Parkour Time.
When you run out of food, it’s time to run away. Believe it or not, it’s easier escaping from mages and rangers. Ironically, this is because they can attack you from a distance. For example, if you are in lumbridge, and running across the bridge to the castle safe spot, a melee enemy will follow close by, and it will be hard to escape. If you are being followed by a ranger or a mage, they will still be attacking from across the bridge when you are on the other side of river lum, thus they will be trapped, and you will be long gone.
Ladders are great for Pvp, you can climb them, and escape from attacking enemies. When you climb a ladder, wait until your opponent climbs, and then climb down and run around a corner. Climbing ladders in safe spots is useful as well, as it can stop the enemy attacking and decreasing the chance of death.
Trapping melee enemies is also a great solution. There are fences all around runescape, and if you manage to trap the poor cat around a fence, they will waste precious time trying to run around.
Section 4: Areas.
In Pvp worlds, different areas are known for different styles of pking. Here is the guide to the most popular pking areas.
~Lumbridge~
In front of the castle, is where most non pures fight. Behind the castle is where the pures fight. Across the river is where people hunt for noobs.
~Al Kharid~
The city is where low level pure clans hang out, don’t go there without teleportation runes.
~Varrock~
High leveled people fight at the centre. The most experienced and elite Koing pures fight at the grand exchange
~Falador~
This is where the most elite clans war, avoid going there without a clan.
~Draynor~
This is where low level fights and lures are found.
Pk where you think you fit in most.
Good luck and have fun!

This is a fairly good guide, but most people already know how to.
Random Drops. They are real. They really any good or just plan annoying? I like the good old days where what you see is what you get. Jagex really needs to fix that problem. Dont you agree?
Runescpades Rant’s
I am not runescapades but I would like to make some rants of my own starting with pvp. Yeah it’s fun killing other players but both of you risk your items fighting so why shouldn’t drops be what you see like the original wild. It used to be what you see is what you get. Yes, I know it has something to do with real world trading but Jagex’s greedy, money snatching people shouldn’t care because they have ruined runescape enough. And we are all playing it so I think Jagex should shove off! I think other than updates that RUNESCAPE PLAYERS vote for they should let the players play as they see fit. (Other than Macroing, Boting, ect…)
Post what you think to me. Btw the name i use to talk with here i use on runescape. (Lvl 65)
Definately Agree.
However, Jagex has removed wildereness because of Real World Traders, who were collapsing the runescape economy, pumping real money into it. This has raised the prices on everything, and if the wilderness was still around now, even god armour would cost atlease 10+ mill a piece.
i hav a weiner
Omg i own all of you noobs
hmm i never hit in pvp its so stupid
omg tht zezima is a fake
be sure to check out some of my documents!
If you guys think about it theres a way to be like old wildy simple and easy :dont allow players to take more than 5k out of a safespot or pvp spot or whatever most macros are only level 3 and thats their problem even If they auto fight its fairly simple to ban them since the only place they ever ACTUALY FIGHT
is chickens since even if it could only hit 1’s pures CANT heal adn theres their problem so yeas
Hey zez! We all no youre a fake and even if you are ur a nerd. Guess what most people dnt waste their lives tryin to get evry friggin stat to lvl 99! So shut up Zezsima and stay the f off this forum!!!
And btw im lvl 72 now ive been training other stf so my cb didnt go up that much
Going back to the subject, it is convenient when a non equiped player drops something. Burt when u kill a player with full rune and get mithril plate, yea that is pretty freaking annoying! At least drop 1 piece of good equipment for high players. I would understand mith for a lvl 30 noob but for a lvl 68 to get a addy dagger or something very very cheap for a hard fight yea that gets on my nerves!
this is my name on rs2 if any one is a member ( like me) add me we should kill things in a party you can make mills!!
zayon10 add me i’m lvl 70 and can hit 16’s !! please!!
add me it’s popcan range if u wanna give me cash im a noobnjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjk
how do i get into lumby on a pvp world. it wont let me walk or tele in edgeville. and if i am in lumby it wont let me sign in…so how do i get to lumby??
-kjellieb0y
I suggest pvp bounty, work up your chances of a bounty till you get one(Bounty is usually exact same lvl as you) if you win the fight then you get a great drop…I personally killed a guy who only had a rune battle axe and my drop was a .corrupt dragon mace. rune platelegs. and my first random crap drop a 3rd age carafe, over a 300k drop total because I killed my target, so jagex is at least some what fixing the drop problems.
…(Runescape name is mastavaduh…..or hydr0genb0mb)
oh and kjelliesb0y, you are most likely in a BOUNTY pvp world, you can only be in edgeville or wilderness, so just find a reg pvp world
Hydr0genb0mb……….Mastavaduh
This guide will help a lot of PKing newbies out there. It could use a few extra tips but ’sides that, it’s good.
Popcan i added you
Though seriously back to the pvp rants. Yea its fun but think that u might get a crappy item for risking full rune. I think that Jagex should modify this!
Want to know what something thats GOOD about pvp is. 26king. Its really the only way free peps can get 1m in 1 day. I am getting sick of all the ridicule the 26kers are getting. Get off our backs!
