Intro

Are you mad that you always die in PVP? Do you always lose tons of cash while Pking? Well if you are one of those people this is the guide for you! I was once a noob at Pking too. But after years of experience I became one of the best f2p melee PKers in RS. Now I’m going to show you how.

Step 1: Create an account

The most important rule of pk:

Pure > main

Never PK with your main account if you don’t want to lose tons of cash.

There are three types of pures that are successful in PK. They are attack, range and magic pures. Today I’m going to show you how to make an attack pure (because I’m a melee PKer).

Name your character but do not make it obvious like:

purePklord

Now play through Tutorial Island!

Step 2: Getting the stats

After creating your account you must train it for the right stats.

A melee pure often have these stats:

-Level 45 Attack

-Level 30 Strength

-Level 20 Defence

-Level 35 HP

-Level 20 Ranged

-Level 1 Magic

-Level 25 Prayer

A quick way to get your attack up is by using my guide to get attack to lvl 40fast.

This is going to be hard work but its going to be way worth it (trust me).

After you’ve claimed these stats you should be level 41- 42 combat.

When you want to train more follow these guidelines:

-Your attack must always be highest

-Your Strength must be 1.5 times less than your attack (Attack/1.5 = Strength) Minimum

-Your Defence must be half your attack

-Train Prayer as much as you can

NOTE: If you punch in your calculator you will find out that 45ATK/1.5 = 30STR

Step3: Getting the equipment

This step requires Lots of money maybe around 50k

Sell all the item drops you got from training and maybe sell your old equipment to get that much money.
Now you must buy the armor below:

Weapon-Rune Scimitar

Helm-Mithril Full Helm

Amulet-Amulet of Defence or Power

Body-Mithril Chain body/Plate body

Legs-Studded Leather chaps

Boots-Leather Boots

Gloves-Leather Vambraces

Shield- Mithril kite shield

Cape-Red cape (cheapest)

NOTE: If you want to buy all mithril equipment feel free to do so.

Buy around 20 sets of each item and you are all set for the equipment.

Step 4: Food at Potions

Now you must buy some food at potions to survive

The food that best suits you now is salmon so buy around 500 of them

And get around 10 strength potions (this is optional)

Step5: Off to PK!

Now you are ready to kill some Players!

Follow these tips and you’ll be very successful:

1. Always PK by the Lumbridge church

Pking by the Lumbridge church and give you a big advantage. You can recharge your prayer points and a non-pk zone is very near.

2. Always have Protect item Prayer on

When you walk out of the non-pk zone turn that prayer on. Incase some noob stabs you in the back. Also this prayer is not very costly so you can have it on for a long time.

3. Find the right time to eat

Don’t waste your food! Eat when your opponent gets your health down to half. Eat twice if you only have a quarter HP left.

4. getting skulled does not matter!

Yea I know you’ll lose all your items when you die. But it’ll free you from always getting attacked first. Getting the first hit in can give you a big advantage sometimes.

5. Always leave 3 inventory spaces free

Leave 3 inventories free so you can pickup more stuff if your opponent dies.

6. Lure the fish

Don’t you hate those noobs that always run when you almost have them killed? Well this is a method I always use for those unworthy cowards. This is how you do it:

-When your opponent starts running follow him/her

-after they get into Lumbridge castle you will have 10 seconds of PK time before the safe starts working.

-wait till they stop running and run towards the PK zone

-They’ll start following you (because of auto retaliate)

-When you’re outside of the safe zone Kill them

-when they realize that they are not safe anymore and run back you’ll still have 10 seconds to finish the job

-Slaughter them and take their reward!

NOTE:this is hard to pull off

This works best when there is a crowd around.

7. How to get dragon equipment in F2P

Yep, that’s right I discovered dragon equipment in F2P.Its a rare drop in PVP worlds and it’s called corrupted dragon equipment. Unlike the normal dragon equipment it’ll crumple to dust after 30 minutes of use. But I normally sell them at the grand exchange. (A dragon scimmy is like 3mill!)

To get it you need:

-To be outside of the safe zone for at least 30 minutes

The longer the time the better dragon equipment you get.

-Have at least 25k worth of items on you

Your rune scimmy should cover that

-Your opponent must also have at least 25k worth of stuff on them

-Slay your opponent and get the dragon items!

8. Strength pures

Some of you might think STR is the most important stat in Combat.Thus it should be the highest.Well Pure STR = FAIL!Normal melee Pkers have stats like 40 attack,55 STR and 1 DEF.Well thats a very bad combo because:

-40 atk is minimum

-STR takes a few levels up before an increased max hit(around 7-8 str lvls per hit at 30-60STR).Thus upping str is useless around mid level.

-1 Def???What about mages and rangers?

With my combo:

-45 attack = very accurate shots

-30 STR+str ammy & pray = large hits

-20 DEF for 60% DEF against rune scim and basic def against mage and range.

Trust me on this,I used to have an account with normal pure stats and got owned every time I see a mage,ranger or full rune main.I ended up killing no arm gladiators…lol.
