Runescape Quest Guide: Pirate’s Treasure

Length of Quest: Short

Requirements: None

Items needed to complete the quest: 60 coins, a white apron, and a spade.

Start Point: Speak to Redbeard Frank on the northwest dock of Port Sarim.

To start the quest speak to Redbeard Frank on the northwest dock of Port Sarim and he will tell you about treasure. Tell him you want it. He will only give the location of the treasure for a price. Some Karamja rum. Find one of the guys in blue in Port Sarim and pay to go to Karamja for 30 coins. Once you arrive go to the bar and buy some Karamja rum for 30 coins. Unfortunately its illegal to take intoxicating spirits with you on the boat so you will have to smuggle it. Luckily though, Luthas, the guy in the house that you see when you first arrive says that his crates aren’t even checked anymore. Ask him for a job and he will tell you to fill the crate with bananas. Go the field west of the house and pick ten bananas. Now right-click on the crate east of the house and click fill to pack the bananas. Then use the rum on the crate. Go talk to Luthas and he will pay you 30 coins and will do so for every crate you fill even after the quest is over (how I made money when I was a noob). Go back to Port Sarim and go to the west and talk to a man named Wydin. If you have the white apron put it on, if not go to the fish shop. One respawns there. Ask Wydin for a job. He will hire you if you are wearing the white apron. Your first job in the shop is to tidy up the back. Search the crate with the banana on it and you will get your rum (you drunk). Go talk to Redbeard and he will be happy enough to give you the key to his room in the Blue Moon Inn in south Varrock. Go to the Inn and head upstairs. Head into the west room and use the key on the chest. A pirate message will say to head to the park and Falador and look where Saradomin points to find the “X” that marks the spot. Head to the park in Falador and find the Saradomin statue. If you don’t have a spade go get one in the southeast house of the furnace to get one. Walk six paces toward where Saradomin points and dig. A gardener may attack you (you tearing up the park and all). Kill or evade him and dig again. You dig up a chest. Quest Complete ye scallywags.

Rewards: 2 quest point and the contents of the chest: 450 coins, a gold ring, and an emerald
