RuneScape Ranged Pures Guide
For training RuneScape pures, especially rangers.
Runescape Ranges Pures Guide
A ranged pure is an account based on ranged. Most of the time these have:
- Defence = 1
- Ranged = */99 (the goal is obviously 99)
- You could train attack and strength but these would make it an hybrid, not a ranged pure.
Training ranged pures:
Non members:
From level 1 to 20
You should train on cows. You can find them both, North of the Al Kharid entrance and North of the Sheep farm in Lumbridge (walking from Lumbridge to Draynor). They have a decent level of hitpoints and you could actually profit from them because they drop bones and cowhides.
From level 20 to 40
Now you can use willow bows and you hit higher. Train on monks. You can find them in the monastery near the Dwarven caves. These are great. They have 15 hitpoints and you don’t need any food because they heal you when you talk with them. Now, train on them until level 30, get a maple bow and come back. From 30 to 40 you will have good hits but it will take longer to train. Don’t worry, you’ll get there.
From level 40 to 50 (I’d advice you to get members now)
Get green d’hide and go to the Security Stronghold. Look for flesh crawlers. They have 25 hitpoints and heat really fast. You will need a safe spot. I’m sure you will notice the safe spot because lots of people use it. Train on them from 40 to 50. You can get a little profit because they drop body runes.
From 50 to 60 or 70
You are a good ranger now but everybody wants to be even better
. Do Hill Giants now. They are good exp and awesome profit. Big bones are pretty expensive nowadays so you can sell them for good money. Kill hillies to 60 and maybe 70 its up to you.
From 60/70 to 99
Now you are a great ranger, go for the excellence! Train on moss giants. They will drop big bones, runes and black square shields. Take some alchs in your inventory so you don’t need to bank the shields. Kill them until you reach 99. They are great for training range. Even in member worlds.
Members:
Until lvl 40 you could do the same than in non members.
From 40 to 70
I did chaos druids. They are decent experience and great money. Trust me GREAT money. You could also kill experiments. They’re awesome for experience but they drop nothing. They have 100 hitpoints each and they almost never hit you. I recommend chaos druids though.
From 70 to 99
You have lots of choices now. If you have some money you could buy tons of knives and kill experiments to 99. They’re easy kills and great experience.
If you want to profit you have several choices.
- Moss giants: They are fast kills. They drop bones, runes, and black sq shields. They do hit you though so you would need food.
- Aviansies: They are great for making money. The gear is expensive at first but you’ll make like 20x of what you spent in the way to 99. Check my aviansies guide here.
- Dragons: Great money and experience. Blue dragons are the best in my opinion because they’re not that far away from bank so you can teleport to the bank and walk back. Selling the dragon bones and hides is good money.
Minigames: You could also play Soul Wars, Pest Control and others for experience.
I hope this guide was useful. Enjoy.
