RuneScape Skillcapes, Easiest 99’s to Get

Before 18th October 2006, what was the point in getting level 99 in a skill on Runescape? There was no reward, and getting 99 just meant a lot of hard work.

Well on 18th of October 2006, Runescape “Capes of Accomplishment” were released. The idea was to encourage people to get 99 in a level so they could get these cool capes to wear on their backs, which came with hoods. Also, you could now perform an emote some of which are really cool but others which are naff! However, what I think is a disadvantage of skill capes is that you have to be p2p to get one. This means that people often work really hard to get 99 in a level but in the end realise that they can’t get a cape as they are not member, so they have worked hard for nothing.

I would like to see skill capes become f2p but there are no signs from Jagex that they are going to let them become f2p.

Now I will go over some of the easiest 99s to get…

Cooking: All you have to do to get 99 cooking is buy a hell of a lot of fish and cook it all. I would suggest getting level 60 first and then cook tuna to level 73, lobsters to 85 and swordfish to 99. Be prepared to lose some cash though as it is rare to make profit.

Firemaking: the same is needed here. Just buy a lot of willows or maples from the G.E. (grand exchange), and burn them. All it takes is a lot of time and concentration and you have 99 firemaking, which is in my view one of the coolest skillcapes in the game

Also, combat skills are fairly easy to level if you have good armour and are dedicated. You WILL NOT GET A 99 IF YOU HAVE NO DEDICATION!!!
