Runescape Starter Guide
How to start off Runescape, without being called a noob.
Well, many noobs who start Runescape ask one question: what to do first? Some tell them raise woodcutting to 60, some say make with the magic, and others will say quests. One mistake that the noobs will make in this confusion is think high level people are so rich, they give things away. Other noobs will ask for help. This is wrong. There is nothing more annoying than begging noobs. Follow this guide to help you start.
You will appear next to the lumby guide when you leave the island. Go south till you reach a bridge and cross it. Next, kill a couple of goblins till you have say….200 coins?
Note: be sure you are doing that so that it raises attack.
You can be sure of this by hoveing the mouse over each attack style. The one that says “attack experience” is your choice.
North of the goblins is some cows. Attack cows and grab their hides. Bury the bones if you want.
When you have a full inventory go toward the goblins you were fighting before and you shall see a gate. Use some of your 200 coins to open the gates. Head south toward the Al-Kherid bank.
Note: if you reach Level 8 attack, switch to Strength training.
Down there, You should see people buying and selling cowhides. For now, bank your hides and repeat the above process until you have 200 hides.
Sell your hides for 100 each (earning you 20k). Now you need a weapon. You should choose from a longsword or skimiter. Skimiter if you like player killing. Longsword if you like monster killing and questing. For a skimiter, Just head north from the al-kherid bank. For a longsword, you need to head to varrok.
From the gate, head north till you reach a fork in the road, and go west. Follow that road till it starts heading north, then vere off to the right a bit, as there are dark wizards that are bigger and stronger than you. Once in the city, you should easily see the shop that sells longswords.
BE SURE THE WEAPONS YOU BUY ARE STEEL UNLESS YOU CAN WEAR BLACK!
For armor, the body shop is in the north eastern part of varrok.
the legs shop is east of the Al-kherid bank.
Helms you can buy in barbarian village, which is west of varrok.

I think that instead of getting hides, new players should do air running.
Cool, just getting the hides is EXTREMELY BORING…. And for the cow hides, their 110gp ea!

This is a great guide. It gives them something to do and gets them some money right off. That was my biggest problem starting out.

u also could try this:head to port sarim…..buy eye of newts (they cost 3gp each)u can buy them in the magic shop there…..
store them at bank in draynor village
then repeat
if u think u have enough head to varrock grand exchange and sell them!
(u can sell them for 49 each)!!!!!!
