RuneScape Strength Guide F2P
This guide will tell you everything you need to know about strength, including what it does, how to train it etc.
RuneScape Strength Guide F2P
Strength is the skill that determines how hard you hit. It is one of 3 melee combat skills, the others being attack and defense.
Strength like other combat skills is trained by gaining exp through killing monsters, as well as receiving exp through certain quests, the only F2P one being Dragon Slayer granting 12575 exp upon completion.
When you start playing RuneScape your strength level is 1.
At level one you should train on chickens, as they are level 1 and never hit anything. If you need money collect their feathers and the Raw Chicken and sell them on G.E. If you don’t need the money just keep on killing them for fast exp. Chickens are found north of Lumbridge and also on the other side of the Lum River Bridge.
At level ten you should start killing cows. They are level 2, so they are still relatively easy to kill. Once again if you need money collect their hides and sell them on G.E, if not just keep on killing them for faster exp.
At level 20 I would start on minotaurs and barbarians, either in Barbarian Village, or the First Level of the Stronghold of Security. These are effective training, but these monsters don’t drop anything valuable. Although minotaurs drop one of four pieces of the coveted Skull Scepter; the left skull half.
At level 30 you should start on level 21 zombies and flesh crawlers in the Second floor of the Stronghold of Security. Zombies often drop steel arrows, these should be collected as they only take up one inventory space and can be sold for 30-40 gp each depending on the market. In a single trip you can make 5k just from arrows!! Flesh crawlers drop another piece of the coveted Skull Scepter; the bottom half of the scepter.
At level 40 training on hill giants and moss giants is recommended, as they both are good exp and both drop big bones. Big bones can sell from 400-500 depending on the market.
At level 60 you can start training on giant spiders on the third floor of the Stronghold of Security. They are one of the best ways to get exp in the game but they do not drop anything. If you are after all four pieces of the Skull Sceptre you’ll have to kill Catablepons, for the top half of the scepter. But training on Cataplepons for exp is not recommended as they can cast weaken, which reduce your strength level. When trying to get the piece it would be smart to bring one or two strength potions (4) to counter weaken.
At level 80 you are ready to start training on ankous. Ankous are found on the fourth level of the Stronghold of Security and are extremely popular for training as they are aggressive to all players (meaning that they auto attack) and give good exp. You can train on ankous till level 99 effectively.
