RuneScape: The Old Days

First of all, I would like to congratulate you all on clicking on this article knowing that it was going to be a good one.

You will definitely be satisfied by what I have to say.

I have not played Runescape as long as I know most of you have, but I know a few tricks here and there.

Back in the day there was once a mass-murdering zone called the Wilderness, this is where I sat back and took a different perspective on how it all worked. Where everyone ranged from noob to legend, from mage to defense This area was a mixing bowl of all different kinds of players. For me, I had just started and was still trying to figure this all out. The wilderness helped me get started.

The main fights I began to watch were the ones involving mage pures and defense pures. They basically owned in every battle I saw. At this point I began to think, and put two and two together. Defense, and Magic? Of course! The two alone seemed unbearable, and when I combined them, I was literally invincible. No one could touch me; they had already been badly damaged by the time they realized what hit them. Even the select few who reached me were no match for my high defense. It is a shame that we have to resort to the restrictions of PVP worlds and can no longer be free to own the wild.

I was never really interested in the long leveling money makers. Mining and woodcutting just weren’t my kinda thing. I was more into lots of money with little work. Which for me payed off until Jagex decided to basically rid of any way to scam people. For anyone who has been scammed by me I can honestly say that it is your fault. I didn’t hold a gun up to your head and force you to listen to me. Anyway here’s how this worked, I had seen this amazing hammer as if it was an symbol of something greater than the game itself. The Gadderhammer shown bright with its eloquent gold trim and its perfect design. So I found out what you had to accomplish to wield such a ideal weapon. To help the Myreque? Something that easy for such a brilliant weapon? Hard to believe but so very true.

I completed the quests and grabbed a Gadderhammer and wielded it. Five minutes later while walking through varrock, I noticed a single player following me. “What is that?” he asked, ever so curious. I proceeded to trade him and allow him to see for himself. The next thirty seconds would change the rest of my days on this game. He entered 100,000 gold. I was speechless as he accepted without further words. I would never see him again, but I would see his words many a time later. “Wtf? I can’t use it”, I have conned over 300 people using a Gadderhammer. On average I would gain 90,000 gold and would only have to pay 3,000 for a hammer. This was by far the greatest scam I would ever dream of doing. The only reason I am sharing this scandal with you is because, well, you can not possibly do it anymore.
