RuneScape: The Secrets Behind PKing – Part 2

The second tactic is a dummy run and it can fool even the most experienced pker and when done correctly leaving you to freely pick up your drop off the floor of a safe area without the chance of being attacked.

Say you have just fought someone and only have 4-6 pieces of food left before you must run into a safe area. You hit your opponent one more time, eat once and run closer towards the safe area, you hit again, eat once and run into the bank area and immediately pull out a 2h and send you opponent packing.

This tactic works on your opponents greed and them being sure that you are almost out of food. By keeping your food levels below half and running they will instantly think ‘Hey this player is out of food, I better kill him before the 10 seconds in safe area is up!’. So providing your HP is always lower than theirs they don’t see a reason to eat.

By you eating just once while your HP is 20 you are effectively making yourself safe with a comfortable 34 HP and therefore ready to pull out a 2h while running to finish the kill. This must be done while you are running as if they ate while running they would stop attacking/chasing which makes them unlikely to want to do this and therefore unlikely to eat.

Though this is a fairly safe method it can be hard to prefect on your first couple of tries so if you do run out of food make sure you have a Lumbridge teleport close on hand as an emergency escape. After all its better to lose 10 EP than all your equipment.

Sometimes if your opponent eats just before you run you could always stop your run and re-do it. This will help make you seem more likely to be out of food as you are drawing closer to a safe area. While doing all this you must remember to keep your opponent so desperate for the kill and that he must think your just running for you life before all of a sudden you take him down with a 2h.
