RuneScape: Ultimate Guide to Level Mining From 1-99

Mining is one of the easiest skill capes to achieve, but there is an increase ban rate if you hack/bot for this level. It is one of the most recognizable skills of Runescape because there are rocks everywhere. It is an ideal skill to start with if you wish to make money at low levels. It’s also a very profitable skill. Mining also ties very closely with Smithing. You can create armors and such using these two skills and sell them for money, or you can just sell the ore by itself. Every rock in Runescape have different levels that you must have before you can mine them.

Level 1-15 – Tin & Copper Ores

Get a bronze pick axe from Bob in Lumbridge, and head out to any mining spot with these two ores, Tin and Copper. You can either powermine, mine, drop, and repeat, if you want to hurry and level, but if you want to get some money or level your smithing as well, then go bank them and continue mining. Continue to do this until level 15.

Optional: Finish the Rune Mysteries quest and mine Rune Essences until level 15. Both ways can work, but I would rather mine tin and copper because they are much faster.

Level 15-30 – Iron Ores

Once you have reached level 15 mining, you can either go to the Al Kharid mine, not recommended due to scorpions, or South of Varrock. Look for the dark purple rocks and start mining them for iron. You can either powermine, which is recommended, or bank them for money or smithing levels. Iron is pretty expensive in RuneScape, probably 150-200 per ore. Continue to mine these until you have level 30 mining.

Level 30-40 – Coal Ores

Once you have reached level 30 mining, you can stay at the Al Kharid mine, or you may go into any other mine you would like, although the Al Kharid mine is the closest and easiest to bank. Mine as much as you can until level 40, bank or powermine them. Once you reach level 40, it gets a lot more fun.

Level 40-60 – Gold and Silver Ores

Head over to the mining guild once you have level 40 mining. Make sure you have a brown apron and a rune pickaxe. Enter the mining part of the guild and you should see an area of gold, silver, and clay rocks. Mine the gold or silver. Banking is a must if you want to make a profit on these. Continue until level 60

Level 60-99 – Coal Ores

You are now able to enter the mining guild. Go to Falador and go into the mine by the party room by going down the steps. Go to the dwarf and open the door. Powermine coal since that’s the main ore source. Do this from 60-99 unless you’re a member.
