RuneScape Woodcutting Guide

This is a small guide on how to get your woodcutting level higher quicker.

If you are just starting off, then you should stay in between Lumbridge castle, and Draynor village. There are a lot of trees between the two. Each normal tree gives 25 XP. Don’t get too close to the Jail beside Draynor Village, because the guard (combat level 26) will automatically attack you. Anyways, this forest should suffice until you can cut oak. I suggest using an iron axe if you can get your hands on one. Once you are able to cut oak, I suggest still cutting normal trees because it will get easier to get oak logs if you are a few levels higher than the requirment. For example, once you reach level 17 woodcutting, then you may head down in front of the bridge to Wizard’s tower. Each Oak tree gives 37.5 XP. There are a few oaks here that are good enough to train on. Another good place is the oak tree beside the Draynor Village bank. This way, you’ll have quicker access to your bank and will be able to drop off your logs quicker.

After you get to level 30 woodcutting, you are able to cut willows. The best place for this is also in Draynor Village. You can go southeast of the Draynor bank and there will be a few willow trees. Each willow tree gives 67.5 XP. Train here until you get to cut yew trees at level 60 woodcutting. Like the oak tree, you can easily get to the bank and put your logs in there. If you are a member however, once you get to level 45 woodcutting, you will be able to cut maple trees. There is a forest just north of Seers’ Village. Each maple tree gives 100 XP. This will make getting to level 60 easier. Once you get to level 60, then cut yew trees. There aren’t many yew trees, but there’s one between Lumbridge and Draynor Village, in that forest you should have started in. There’s another one north of Varrock. Each yew log gives 175 XP. If you are a member then once you get to level 75, then you will be able to cut magic trees. Each magic log gives 250 XP. There are a few magic trees at the Sorcerer’s Tower. There is also some in the Gnome Stronghold.

I hope this guide helps you!
