RuneScape’s 13 Strongest F2p Monsters
A list of the 13 strongest normal F2P monsters, not including revenants and quest monsters. Also, a few hints on how to fight these deadly beasts.
Here we begin…
1. Greater Demon (Level 92)
“Big, red, and incredibly evil.”

As the strongest non-member monster, these are found deep within the wilderness in the Demonic Ruins. They can hit a max of 12, so it would be a good idea to put on heavy armor and to bring plenty of food. Using silverlight against these is equivalent to a rune longsword as with any other demon. Since these are very large in size, one can use range or magic against them while hiding behind the ruins to avoid getting dealt damage.
2. Ankou (Level 86)
“A boney ghost.”

Found in the final level of the Stronghold of Security as the strongest in the entire place beneath the Barbarian Village, and can can hit a max of 12. In a few places, you can safely mage or range them without getting damaged. It is not advisable to use slash attacks against these.
3. Skeleton (Level 85)
“Could do with gaining a few pounds.”

Also found with the Ankous as mentioned above, having a max hit of 10. Using crumble undead can deal up to 15 damage with each spell.
4. Shade (Level 83)
“Dead, but not gone.”

Same place and max hit as skeletons. Unfortunately, these give only 1/16th xp as compared to other monsters after the February 2009 Random Event Update.
5. Cockroach Soldier (Level 83)
“Euww! A giant bug.”

Yup, these are found in a stronghold too, but instead of the Stronghold of Security, this time it’s the Stronghold of Player Safety. They hit a max of 11, dealing more with range than melee. If you attack it from close, it will use melee, and and if you attack it from afar it will use range. Strong against magic, weak against range and crush attacks.
6. Lesser Demon (Level 82)
“Lesser, but still pretty big.”

A “lesser” version of the greater demon, these can be seen in a cage at the very top of the Wizards’ Tower, as well as the Lava Maze in the wilderness. Hits 10 max, but are large and can be maged or ranged safely wherever they are found. They have a very low defence, and are especially weak against magic, silverlight, and crush.
7. Ghost (Level 77)
“Eeek! A ghost!”

Final level in Stronghold of Security, hits 7 max. They are best for magic training, as they are weak against crumble undead but do not drop anything.
8. Catablepon (Level 68)
“Big… Cow-like… But cows don’t have serpent tails!”

One level down from the previous, these hit 7 and are found on the 3rd level of the Stronghold of Security. Best to use range, as it is stronger against them and these can cast weaken to lower your strength level.
9. Scorpion (Level 59)
“An extremely vicious scorpion.”

Same place in the Stronghold as the catablepons, they seem to be almost twice the level of king scorpions.
10. Ice Warrior (Level 57)
“A cold hearted elemental warrior.”

The third found in deep wilderness, at the Ice Plateau. These have a high attack and defence, but small weakness against crush attacks and very weak against fire attacks (fire melts ice).
11. Cockroach Workers (Level 56)
“Eurgh! A big bug.”

Far weaker than the cockroach soldiers found in the same place. Weak against crush attacks.
12. Ice Giant (Level 53)
“He’s got icicles in his beard.”

You can see many of these guarding cosmic runes in the wilderness and White Wolf Mountain. Has a high attack and max hit (7) for its level, once again weak against fire spells.
13. Giant Spider (Level 50)

“I think this spider has been genetically modified.”
3rd level in Stronghold of Security. These are NOT the same as their level 2 relatives, and can hit up to 7s.

i thought deadly red spiders were better then(level 50 or 51) i forgot were stronger then giant spiders (level 50) btw they r on lv 3 stronghold of security too
