The 10 Most Common Things Said in RuneScape

1. 1Free gp? Free money plz? Can I have 5k?

   What’s with noobs these days? I remember the day when a noob was happy with 100gp – now they wont shut up unless you give them 5k. Honestly, what’s with noobs these days!

2. What r u wearing? Can I have ur armor?

   If you are a decent level and wear anything that looks good, you’ve heard this one before. Even if your armor is P2P, those F2P noobs wont shut up until you give it to them.

3. [Skill] lvl? Wats ur lvl in [skill]?

   This one isn’t so bad to hear, and it’s not always the noobs asking. But you must admit, this is one of the most common things you hear. It does get annoying when you have noobs asking your level in a skill when you are wearing the matching skill cape though.

   Sure, there is no harm in making friends, but I get asked this every day. It’s nice to make a few RuneScape friends, but this isn’t what we want to hear everyday. It gets old after you can’t remember half the people in your friends list.

5. Trade. Trade me! Lets trade.

   This is more a demand than a question. I remember the day when people would advertise that they were selling/buying. Now you get people (mostly noobs) coming up to you and randomly trading. Half the time I can’t even figure out what they want!

6. Don’t mine my rock! Why u mining my rock?

   Sure, when I was a noob, I hated it when people mined my rock, but that’s just the way it goes. I love how they try to negotiate: “I mine this rock, u mine that one.” If they’re polite I usually go with the negotiation, but sometimes you have the real rude noobs, so I like to mine their rocks till they switch worlds.

7. Don’t attack my [NCP]! Get ur own monster!

   If you hate people attacking your NCP, go fight a lesser or something that only one person can attack. Anything else is fair game really. That’s how I do it.

8. Can u take me to [location]? Help me!

   Sure, this one isn’t that bad when they’re polite. It’s always nice to help noobs that don’t act like noobs. If I’m busy I’ll usually at least give directions/tips to help them out. I’m sure we can all admit to seeing this in RuneScape.

9. I buy ur armor. How much for [item]?

   “No! It’s not for sale! I don’t care what you offer!” If you own anything good, or even just a random item, you probably always get asked to sell it. I used to see this question a lot, and it really got annoying.

   And last, but certainly not least:

10. I’m going to report you! Reported! You’re gonna get banned.

    Correct me if I’m wrong, but is there actually an option to report people for not giving you the free 5k or your armor? If this option existed, everyone would end up banned! I just hate when noobs say they will report me if I don’t give them free money. I obviously know that their report wont be taken seriously (if anything it will probably backfire on them). We hear this one very often. It seems to often be the sequel to majority of the most common things said, as listed above.
