The Best Way to Level Up Thieving in RuneScape

A efficient way to train thieving in RuneScape.

OK thieving is one of the most useful skills in Runescape.  You can get food, gems, ores, furs, and other things just by stealing them.  The only hard part is training it to 99.  Honestly, no one wants to waste their time by pickpocketing everyday and earning very little experience.  Fortunately, there is a better way.

There is a mini game that trains thieving up really quickly while giving you a nice profit.  The mini game is the Pyramid Plunder mini game.  What you need to do is complete one quest to gain access to it.  That quest is the little helper quest (Itcharen).  However, it would be wise to complete two more quests in addition to this one to make training easier.  The two quests are Contact and Dealing with Scarabs.  Contact because you get access to a bank in the city, and the other one I will say why later.

In the pyramid, you have to go through several levels to get to the last room you can enter.  Once there, start looting all the jars, urns, coffins, and chests.  By the way, it would be wise to loot all the chests on the way to your room because they tend to give good artifacts.  Now what are these artifacts?  Well remember that guy by the agility pyramid?  He will buy the artifacts off you for some nice cash.  This is why you want to do the scarabs quest.  The reward for doing a certain side part of the quest is this.  Simon will buy any clay or stone items that you have noted in your inventory as if they were the real thing.  He doesn’t want to trade gold because people could cheat him out of his money.  Someone doesn’t know the banking system…  Anyhow you can stay in the pyramid for a long time and get a lot of experience.

However, there are a few things that I need to draw attention to.  First off, there are mummies that will attack you if you disturb their slumber.  They have a low hit point value but can hit hard.  Because of this, I would bring some armor along and a slash weapon.  Second, there are scarabs that tend to come out of the foor at some points and the chests.  They don’t hit hard but they hit fast and can poison you for like 3 damage.  Because of this, I would get the prayer book from The Great Brain Robbery because it cures poison for 1 prayer point.  If you run out of prayer points, there is an alter right by the bank for you to recharge at.  There are also snakes in the urns that you could charm, not get poisoned, steal loot and get less experience.  However, you could also not charm them, get poisoned, steal loot and get more experience.  It depends on what you want.

I have found this mini game to be very helpful in training my smithing.  My friend got from lv 55 to 99 in about 10 days.  Hope this helped

This works hand in hand with farming and takes me a long time to do.
