The Pros and Cons of RuneScape

Here’s the pros and cons of RuneScape.

Pros

  1. It’s the largest MMORPG known! It was even in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2008 (or was it 2007? sorry, but I’m not completely sure)!
  2. Runescape is so massive that it would take years to explore everything and finish all those quests and max all those skills to 99, so there’s always something to do!
  3. You can multi-task! For example, when you’re Farming, you can train Melee while you wait, or you can train Fletching while you play mini-games(that’s what I did when i was playing Pest Control).
  4. When reach level 99 in each skill, you will be able to get an awesome Cape of Achievement, which would be something you’re setting as a goal.
  5. Runescape is updated about once every week! So there’s always something new you can try out.

Cons

  1. Jagex, the makes of Runescape, sometimes make stupid updates to decrease the fun of the game, even though it’s probably for a greater cause. The two worst updates ever was probably the removal of the wilderness (although now you can use pvp worlds) and the trade limit rules.
  2. Because of the recent updates, noobs these days are cockier than ever, and it pisses off all of the ”elder” players who have more experience.
  3. The membership costs around $6 CAD/month so some people cant afford it every month.
  4. Runescape is somewhat addictive, so after playing, you just cant seem to stop, cause there’s always something to do and you’re constantly setting new goals.
  5. Another con of Runescape is that their censoring is to strong, you got to be at least 13 to play(without being restricted to quick-chat) but the censoring is like PG6.
