The Top Five MMORPG Games of All Time
Here is a list of the top five MMORPG games of all time with pictures and reviews.
Hello, I Am going to show you about the top 5 mmorpg’s of all time. For those of you, who don’t know what a mmorpg is, please take some time and Google it. Ok, now let’s start our countdown.
5. EVE online- EVE Online is a mmorpg based on sci-fi which players pilot customizable ships, train skills, explore, trade, manufacture, and combat which Pvp (player versus player). A great social game if you love chatting and playing with friends. This game does not offer a free trial I believe. There is not a lot to explain about this game but it is similar to mechquest, the browser based RPG.

4. Maplestory-Maplestory is a mmorpg where players hunt monsters, do quests, and train their abilities. The key to maplestory is social chatting with other players. Without friends in this game, it pretty much impossible to complete quests and defeat monsters. This game is a Manga-Graphics based game, so don’t expect any high advanced graphics from this game. This game is very social and has a good economy. Players can join guilds to interact with each other easier or just find random people who will love to do what you need help with. For example; players can defeat monsters together and share the loot. This game is like a real timed based game, where players can get married, must do tasks at certain times and so on.
3. Entropia Universe-Entropia Universe is a game similar to the “Sims” collection. Except this game is mainly involving game money and real money to do certain things. PED (Project Entropia Dollars) is the currency used in the game. And the only way to obtain it is to use real money. Paying 1 US dollar gives your player 10 PED. People Spend Around $50-$150 is average per year, which is pretty expensive on my opinion. But without PED in this game, you have a limited option on the game’s objective. This game involves social chatting for easier ways so you won’t have to solve everything for yourself. This game is not for everyone. And Not Paying for anything is a bad idea because all you can mainly do is chat until you get some profit.

2. Runescape- Runescape is Browser Based Online RPG that takes you back into medieval times. You control player through training skills, do quests, or chat with your friends. Team up with players to kill monsters, join clan chats or do minigames, or you can log on to a PVP world and kill other players. Runescape updates every once in a while, from updating graphics to making new quests. Runescape involves money making for better items to special event items and armor for defending you from monsters. Runescape is free but if you want the complete game (membership), you must pay $7.99 a month. In my opinion, it is a great deal because there many things to do in members worlds.

1. World of Warcraft- World of Warcraft is the most played Mmorpg game of all time. It involves training skills, mainly combat. The Skills are tailoring, blacksmithing, mining, cooking and first-aid. People can obtain tasks (quests) and when completed, you will receive a reward from the NPC (Non Player Character) who you got the quest from. Rewards can be experience points (xp points), items, or in-game money. This game also has PVP (player versus player) environments. World of Warcraft requires a subscription which is about $15 a month. But World of Warcraft Gives everyone a 10 day free trial.

I LOVE IT!:)
I LOVE IT!:)
WoW wasn\\\’t born when Lineage II was driving RPG players\\\’ minds around.
I would say Lineage II is at least on the 2nd place if not the 1st.
WoW = cartoons
Lineage II = real faces and characters
Also you should take a look at Guild Wars and AION.
NC Soft really makes good MMORPGs. It\\\’s not Blizzard but it still means something.
I Know What You Mean But These Are The Games That Have Been Around For A Long Time:) Thanks for the comment
How can you not mention EverQuest? EQ paved the way for the mainstream success of games like WoW and was still a fairly hardcore niche experience. Certainly better then Entropia. I\’d say EQ would be number 1 or 2 at least.
All of These Games Were Recommended by different game review sites. i will make one of 2010 soon:D
Ok, in my opinion i dont think any game that doesnt need downloading(DL)should be on this list. The best games ever made are made in this decade. And Runescape only has so many players because its a non-DL game with actual purpose to it. But then again, you can’t just go out and find a pretty decent free MMORPG that doesn’t require DL. So to sum this all up, if i were you i would mess with this list a little until it’s more sensable
-My WoW account.
Boneyxp, Server: Bronzebeard, Horde.
It Doesn’t Matter if it requires downloading or no downloading. As Long as its categorizes a MMORPG game, then it is available:)
Your #1 is correct but your others shouldnt even be on the list besides EvE.
Ive played MMORPG’S since the mid 90’s Beta testing EQ and most every mainstream game to hit the market since then. While i agree that the games you listed 2-4 are somewhat or where somewhat popular, they never reached the depth or popularity needed to be on an all-time list.
Everyones opinions are different however and this is just your’s. That being said ill add my opinion to the mix.
5 – EvE – this is the one game i never touched (mostly because i was denied beta entry). From what ive read and friends i have that have or are playing the game, i place this at 5 also.
4 – Dark Ages of Camelot – pretty good game and the innovators of RvR combat.
3 – Ultima online – gotta give props where props are due. This was the game many of us made the jump to after our beloved MUD’S went the way of the caveman.
2 – Everquest – The first big giant in the industry of 3D mmorpg’s
1 – World of Warcraft – Look blizzard dethroned sony….. this game has raised the bar for the industry and it seems every other company thinks its a limbo bar cause nobody is touching it anytime soon. I am personally tired of WoW but that doesnt change the fact that they took the time to do it right. Top guild leaders from EQ where recruited to work for this project within blizzard in its infancy for a REASON. Now those same people are working behind the scenes on blizzards new mmo… keep an eye out.
Thankk you for your comment. Nice to know that people dont understand when i mean opinion. Most of these games were ranked and i wanted to check em out. other people are picking thier favorites and putting it closest to number 1 without making a whole bunch of crap on the internet:)
congratulations i’de say you did a pretty good job picking this list Runescape and WoW and mapleStory were just in the right places
Thank You Sir:D
