Top Ten Worst Bounty Hunter Targs and How to Overcome Them

This article will be focusing on those who are, in my opinion, the worst types of Bounty hunter Targets, both member and non-member, and will be giving some ideas on how to beat them.

10. The target which is rather annoying but not someone who will give you an anneurysm with their stubborness is the person who stays in a safezone for 10 minutes because they don’t want to fight you, thus wasting 10 minutes of your time and getting you a different targ.

The only way one can overcome this is to try to reason with them. Be polite but firm and try to get them to let you kill them in exchange for a 75k/25k trick. If this fails, just go in to the wild and wait the 10 minutes until you get a new target.

9. This type of target is only more of a nuisance than number 10 because they are rather annoying individuals. They will stay in safezone just like number 10, but instead of not responding will keep bugging you to let them kill you.

The way to overcome this is to either ignore them or to tell them that you will give them a 75k/25k trick if they let YOU kill them.

8. The next type of target is found both in members and non-members and is very annoying in both instances. I am talking about the target who stays in multy with their clan and does not want to come and fight you one on one.

For this type of target, you can either A) ignore them and go on fighting random people in 1v1, B) You can try your hand at finding them in multy and killing them, or C) you can get your own clan and hope that you outmatch them.

7. The fourth type of annoying target can only be found in non-members, and is extremely exhasperating if you do not know how to handle it properly. I am of course talking about the people in full rune who do not want to no arm and attack you as soon as you step foot into the wilderness.

These people are usually not pkers, and rely on the supperior defensive capabilities of rune armour to defend them. As we know, rune is rather weak to magical attacks, so if you have a decent magic level, now is the time to use it. Nine times out of ten, when you get magic these people will either run or turn protect from magic on. When the latter happens just calmly turn on protect from melee and keep maging. If they run, stay in wilderness and wait. Hopefully, they will be put off by the damage they are taking and will either wait in the safezone for 10 minutes, or they will agree to no armour you.

6. This type of target is found both in members or non members. The target type I am speaking of are those who pretend to be “noobs” and when you add them, say that they are mining at rune rocks. Many inexperienced pkers will think that this is their lucky break. What could be easier than a noob who is mining without anyfood in deep wilderness. Many people will immediately grab their gear and start the long trek following the target arrow. This is a giant mistake, for when you reach the rune rocks you will find that very close to them is a multy-combat zone and that your “noob” target is actually a very experienced pker with a clan.

This differs from Number 9 in the fact that this target luls you into a false sense of security and LURES you to their clan. The only way to avoid this is to tell them that you know what they are up to, and that they quite honestly fail. Or, if you have a rather good clan yourself, you can go there with them.

5. The type of target has to do with a type only seen by rather higher level members. This target is the target that stands in the wild with full veracs and protect from melee on. This is annoying because even if you attack them with protect from melee on, the verac set special effect is that it hits through armour and prayer.

A solution for this type of target is to either barrage him untill he puts protect from magic on and then pull out either a godsword or dragon claws, or to range them with d bolts and wait untill they put on melee protect and then pull out your ko weapon.

4. The next type of target I wish to discuss is the person who in the beginning DOES fight you, but after fighting you a couple of times realizes that they cannot kill you, and therefore decide to run into deep wild with nothing on, a terrorbird and a few hundred tireless run scrolls. This keeps them running infinitelly and if you decide to follow them, you will find that you will never find them and will waste a large amount of your time hunting them.

There is really no easy way to solve this, except to stay in single zone and mind your own business hoping that they will get sick of it. Although it is a bith of a long shot, another thing you can do is get your clan or a couple of friends to get the targets name down and split up to hunt them. You and your friends should all bring barrage or blitz runes so you can stop them from running.

3. And so we get to the top three. The third worst type of target is found only in members, and usually at higher levels. These people ask you to dds death match, and put out a certain set of rules. The rules usually include no vengeance, no recoil and no brews. This means that your only allowed weapon is a draggon dagger, and you are not allowed to use vengeance, not allowed to use a ring of recoil and are not allowed to use saradoming brews to boost your hp over their original ammount. After setting these rules, these people proceed to break every single one of them.

The only way to ensure your safety against these people is to either A) break them yourself or B) hope that their specials fail and that you win. I apologize that this is not really that in-depth but when someone cheats, the only way that you can win is by beating them to it, or by sheer dumb luck.

2. The second worst type of target is the target who DOES agree to fight you one on one, with armour and makes everything seem legit up to the moment when they use their first special. After unleashing all the specials they are supposed to have you suddenly breathe easier. However, a friend of theirs is standing by and uses the spell “energy transfer” which give the person it is casted on the casters special attack bar, thus allowing them to use more special attacks.

The ONLY ways to overcome this are to either put the appropriate protect prayer on when they use their second set of specials, or to get a friend of yours to do the same thing to you. There is really no other way of surviving short of teleporting out, which wastes your EP.

1. And so we come to the worst type of target found in Runescape.

This is the person who fights you, but when they see they cannot win, get full black dragon hide, 2 pack yack pouches and a full inventory of Saradomin brews. They then proceed to go the Mage Arena in deep wilderness. As the only type of combat allowed in the arena is magic, and they are wearing armour with a high magic defense bonus, it becomes next to impossible to kill them. Also, the mage arena is a favourite of many clans, and since it is in deep wilderness, people 50 combat levels above yours can attack you.

This is the worst type of target for the sole reason that even if you DO somehow manage to kill them, you will have wasted so many runes that the only way you can break EVEN is to get the best possible drop.

In conclusion, these are all the worst targs i have ever encountered and the ways I have found to deal with them and I hope that this will help you in your future runescape pking endeavours.
