*Make sure you have at least have enough money

Faster but expensive way

• Buy 144,828 willow logs which cost around 1.2 million GP
• Buy 96,552 maple logs which cost around 3 million GP
• Buy 64,527 yew logs which cost around 26 million GP

Slower but cheaper way

1-15

Get a hatchet and chop down normal trees until you get a full inventory. Then you try go east (because the go left when you make a fire) then put your tinder box in the middle and start fire making away. It will take at least 61 normal logs to level 15.

15-30 or 99

*You can now burn Oak logs

Requirement: level 15 woodcutting

Now with level 15 woodcutting (I assume you have level 15 woodcutting by now) you can cut oak trees. You can cut these trees about anywhere. Now you will need 183 oak logs to level 30.

30-45 or 99

*You can now burn willow logs

Requirement: level 30 woodcutting

I suggest you woodcut these around Rimmington and fire make from there. You will need 535 willow logs to burn.

45-60 or 99

*You can burn Maple logs now

Requirement: About 45k of gold

Now you can burn Maple logs but you can’t cut them in the free world, but you can buy them at Grand Exchange. Now you will need to buy 1573 Maple to level 60.

60-99

*You can burn Yew logs the best logs in the game

Requirement: level 60 woodcutting

I recommend you do not buy these and try to fire making with them cause of high GP. Instead you can woodcut Yew trees and fire make that way. Now you will need 63712 yews to level 99.
