Ultimate RuneScape F2P 1-99 Cooking Guide

Ever wanted a skillcape? well this is the once for you – I will be showing you how to achieve 99 cooking in runescape for free-to-play players in the cheapest and fastest possible way and where to cook.

F2p 1 – 99 cooking guide

cooking is the easiest 99 skill to achieve in all of runescape, this guide will show you the best places to cook, what to cook and EXACTLY how much you will need to cook! so if your interested ….read on!!

1 – 10

okay, you are going to be cooking sardines here. you will need only 29 sardines but you might burn some… so rather get about 50 sardines, this will cost you 700 gp (+-). i would suggest fishing them as the number of burns you get is impossible to work out, you will need a fishing level of 5 to catch these, they can be caught in draynor village by the willows.

10 – 20

you will be cooking herrings at this stage, you will need about 67 herrings but buy 80 or 90 just incase, remember: always sell your cooked fish so that you have some money left over for other things. you will be paying around 2010 – 2700 gp. it is not that much, as you can pay for it with one load of air runes in world 16 while air running.

20 – 70

now you will just be cooking trout all the way until level 70 cooking. you will need 10,474 trout to be exact. it will cost you 335,168 gp but after you have cooked them and re-sold them… you will have made 324,698 gp back from the cooked trout…  so you will only lose 10,470 gp.

70 – 95

you will be cooking salmons until 95 cooking or tuna if you have some money to burn.

you will need 114,771 salmon, it will cost you 8,952,138 gp(8.95mil) but you will get 6,427,176gp(6.42mil) once you have resold them…

if you choose to do tuna’s then you will need about 80,340 of em. it will cost a total of 9,319,440gp(9.3mil) but it will save you hours of cooking. however you will only make 6,909,240gp(6.9mil) so you are making a major loss…

 95 – 99

well done! you are now 67% to 99 cooking! so give yourself a pat on the back and get ready to begin your final stretch!

now you have 2 options here:

salmon: you will need a total of 47,336 salmon which will cost you only 3,692,208gp(3.7mil) and you can re-sell it for 2,650,816(2.65mil) so its only about a 1million gp loss.

lobster: this step will cost you quite alot of money so be prepared! you will need 35,524 lobsters which will cost about 12,326,828 gp(12.3mil) and which you will only make back 10,088,816gp( 10mil) so its already quite a big loss.

hope this guide helped you!

(if you need any help or have any questions, PM me in runescape my acc name is dylan 288.

I have 92 cooking right now, and i lost only 1.5mil getting to 92. heres how i did it.

1-30 crawfish potting, (catch your own its not hard at all) will tke about 1 hour but you will save some money, and this is the hardest step believe it or not, lol.

    30-92 TROUT!!!!!!

Do whatever you like until lv 55. Then make anchovy pizzas until lv 65, then make pineapple pizzas all the way till 99. you will make millions! even if u buy the ingredients. u won’t lose any money at all, only make! you cant burn it if u just buy the plain pizzas, and its still faster than trouts…

actually this is the best 1-99 cooking guide for the non-losing money part. The main guide is below

  16. Posted June 18, 2010 at 6:12 pm

I am not what so ever trying to overwrite dylan 288’s cooking guide, I am only posting the fastest way to 99 part.

Before we begin, READ this paragraph

This guide tells you the fastest way to get to 99 cooking, you wont have to feel different from everybody else, being so these methods are very commonly used by players trying to achieve 99 cooking. Im going to try to offer you the best info, so you can experience your 99 cooking in the best ways possible.

    Contents:

    Prologue (as seen above).
    1. What’s the risk???
    2. Reccommendations before we start.
    3. Locations (from least to greatest).
    4. Buy, cook, sell.
    5. Fish, cook, drop.
    6. Now to get 99 Cooking!
    7. Items that will help you.
    8. Oh and the cape???
    9. Congragulations.

    1. What’s the risk??? The risk is you will be losing money if you use this guide. So you should follow every single step of this guide because it gives the best ways to not losing as much money. You best off starting with 2.5mil to 100% achieve this . If your mad, be happy I put this reminder at the start because you would be unorganized if I didnt.

    2. Before you start Cooking, you should complete the Family Crest quest so you can get the Cooking Gauntlets, which help reduce the chance of burning fish. Sadly there is a requirement in the guide, but this item is the main reason on getting you to 99 Cooking because you wont be able to burn Sharks.

    3. There are 5 good locations. 3 are F2P, 2 are P2P. These are the top 5 cooking places. I will also give the pros and cons of the locations.

    F2P SPOTS.

    Edgeville Kitchen:
    Rating: 5/10
    PROS:
    -Across from bank.
    CONS:
    -Very slow.
    -Involves running alot.

    Al-Kharid Kitchen:
    Rating: 6/10
    PROS:
    -Across from bank.
-Less running distance than Edgeville Kitchen.
    CONS:
-Still have to run a bit.

    Lumbridge Castle Kitchen:
    Rating: 8/10
Withdraw your fish from the bank on the roof of the castle, right click the south-west staircase and hit “go down.” Do the same with the second floor, and run into the kitchen to cook. Go back up by right clicking both of the staircases and hitting “go up.” Bank, withdraw, repeat.
    PROS:
    Best F2P spot.
    -Much faster cooking.
-Much shorter disance than the other locations.
-You click more than you run.
-You will adjust to all the clicking and soon be able to do it really fast!
    CONS:
    -Alot of right-clicking.

    P2P SPOTS.

    Cooking Guild Range:
    Rating: 9/10
You will need the Varrock Armour 3 from the achievment diary, which is really really really hard to get. It is not reccommended but it is a ultra-fast way.
    PROS:
-2nd best spot in all of RuneScape.
-5 feet away from a bank booth.
    -Little clicking.
    CONS:
-Need Varrock Armour 3. Its not even worth getting. But if you have it you should certainly do this area cause it is near the Grand Exchange. I strongly reccommend the next location.

    The Rogue’s Den Fire.
    Rating: 10/10
Ask people if you dont know where this place is.
    PROS:
-The best spot in all of RuneScape.
-It is just like the cooking guild location, you just dont need any requirements.
    CONS:
-You may get distracted easily by players talking. It may urge you to talk to them. Try to avoid this at best.
-It is the farthest location from the Grand Exchange.

    4. The buy, cook and sell method is the fastest way of getting 99 cooking. You will have to own alot of money though as you will lose profit from each fish thats cooked, but if you own 2.5mil or more you will be fine.

Only do this method once you have read the 1-99 guide below. To do this method, buy as much fish as you can from the Grand Exchange, travel to any location mentioned above, cook all your fish, head back to the Grand Exchange, sell them and repeat.

    5. The fish, cook and drop method is a averaged method, being so it requires tons of patience, but you will also be training your fishing level and if you do this method from 1-99 cooking your fishing level will be extremely close to 99 and might be your next goal to another 99 skill of yours.

Only do this method once you have read the 1-99 guide below. To do this method, purchase all the fishing equipment (Nets of all kind, fishing rod, fly fishing rod, feathers, lobster cage, harpoon). Not to mention bring 3 logs with a tinderbox to make a fire or ask people to make one for you. In order by levels. Only fish Shrimp, Herring, Salmon, Tuna, Lobster, Swordfish, Monkfish and Shark. Everytime you have aqquired the fishing level for one of these fish move onto the next higher level one, make sure you cook all of the fish you caught in the fire’s. This requires tons of patience, but the only good thing is you wont have to lose money. This is not really reccommended.

    6. Now what you have all been waiting for, finally you get to start Cooking. I reccommend you use the Lumbridge Kitchen if you are a F2P. If you are a P2P, I reccommend you use the Rogue’s Den fire. Good luck. Lets begin.

1-25: Cook Raw Shrimp until you have 25 Cooking.

25-40: Cook Raw Trout until you have 40 Cooking.

40-75: Cook Raw Tuna until you have 75 Cooking.

75-90: Cook Raw Lobster until you have 90 Cooking.

90-95: Cook Raw Monkfish until you have 95 Cooking

95-99: Cook Raw Shark until you have 99 Cooking.

    7. This short part tells you which items give you a boost in the Cooking skill. These could help but

Chef’s Delight- Boosts your Cooking level by 2.
Chef’s Delight (Mature)- Boosts your Cooking level by 6.

    8. Congragulations!!! Thats another skill down, but there are many more skills to get to 99. So I wish you luck with all of them.

    9. Oh and the cape??? Yep now that you have 99 Cooking go get the Cooking Cape! Buy it from the chef in the Cooking Guild. Either you did it for the cape or not, it still shows accomplishment in that skill and everyone will realize it. You can also do a new emote while wearing it, it also boosts your Cooking skill to 100.

Well I hope you guys enjoyed this guide, I hope people still view this page because this guide took me 4 hours to make. Lol somehow I feel I made it for nothing. Add me if you want more help on other skills to 99. Apparently I research about RuneScape more than I play it.

Here’s what I did (as a member) from 58-99 Cooking:
I bought 19k Trouts. I cooked nearly all of them and got from 58-76 Cooking. Then I bought 10,000 Uncooked Stews, and cooked them all until 85 Cooking. After that I bought 60,000 Monkfish (cost me a lot), which got me to 99 Cooking. To do my way you need to have a couple of million as all these fish and food supplies cost me:
    19,000 Raw Trouts=532,000GP.
    10,000 Uncooked Stews=5,670,000GP.
    60,000 Monkfish=23,520,000GP.
So you see it wasn’t cheap. But…It took me aproximetally 5 Days, 6-10 Hours a day. Easy and quick! Now I got Cooking SkillCape. Exciting!! :) Party for 99 Cooking is Friday next week around 6pm, World 31, Rimmington at my house. Message me, X_xCHELEYx_X on Runescape for more details. Hope I helped. :D Bye! ;P

You do realize in the 70-95 part of this guide, you stated that you’ll lose a lot of money (”Major loss”) if cooking tuna, when salmon actually loses more…

Can you do this with 4mil and buying 1.3k each time?

  24. Posted November 12, 2010 at 11:56 pm

    hey here it goes

    1-10 shrimp, fiarly cheap
    10-20 sardine , cheap also
20-30 achovies or trout your choice , trout is the best
    40-50 more trout!
    50-60 salmon or some trout
60-70 okay use salmon till 63 and then tuna till 70, at 63 cooking you wont burn tuna!
70-80 buy uncooked pizza from g/e and its like 960gp and cook them at a range. you wont burn any now and there much better than lobbys, lobbys make you lose money and just give 14, these give 143 :) .
80-90 were gonna make cakes here, buy uncooked cakes and use htem on a range, this give 180.
90-99 yeah youre almost there! okay if you got the cash make wine, it is a loss of gp, but good because you dont need any fire or a range. you can buy cakes again and bake them and add chocolate to them if you want. thats really good.

GRADS! YOU GOT 99!!! YEA!! KEEP GOING!!

i have a great way to get tuna. after one of the updates on rs there have showed up a guy south of the vulcano on karamja. he will make your tuna, swordies and lobsters to notes. om most servers there is at least one guy that are droping tunas at the fishing spot. pick up these and turn them to notes (get as many as you need at least) and then cook them :D Just a tip

ow this suck i got from 64 till 95 with only 6m with lobsters and tunas salomon are sooo slow and u paid alot noob guild but gd effort-.-:P

  27. Posted May 13, 2011 at 7:13 pm

    This guide is…pretty lame, tbh.

Why would you go 70-95 in TUNA/SALMON? You don’t burn lobsters at ALL somewhere in the early seventies, and you lose MAYBE 10gp/per. THATS NOTHING.

    86-99 should be SWORDIES
Since you can’t burn them…tut tut.

Very good, but skill capes are members only aren’t they? The 99 will help a lot with your skill total I guess.
