Where’s My Runescape?.

~~~Flashback~~~

Weeeell, do you remember how runescape was 6 years ago? Now, your answer is probably no…

But if it’s yes, think for awhile. Do you REALLYremember what it was like? or is it just some sketchy details that you remember from awhile back?…  Now, back then I was a noob, but some things I vididly remember is when they moved the party room from Camlot to Falador (this is before 6 years, but what the hell..) and I thought “Hmmm…why would they do that?…is there a reason to move the party room to falador?…maybe so F2P players get it too?…but why?…”

Well, now I know, they probably had plans from awhile back to removed free trade.

Here’s another memory…I remember I was at the tzharr pits, when I finally got 60 attack, now as you probably know, I was really excited. I ran around saying “w00t!!! finally 60 attack!!!!!!!!!!!! d long here I come!!!!!” now, I didn’t actually have 100k, I hardly had any rune armour at all, and when i explained it to a random player that congratulated me, she traded me, and just gave me 100k. Do you know how good it feels to get that? She was one of my closest friends from then on.

Jagex removed the unbalenced trading, and player killing (which I never really did), to stop scammers, auto-ers, and gold farmers. This upset the delicate balence of runescape, which really did cause about 1/2 or so of their senior players to just literally walk away from their computers, more exactly, their runescape accounts.

Now I don’t really blame them, according to them, scammers weren’t much of a problem, however goldfarmers, account trading, and Money-for-Skills powerlevelings were ruining their company, not the game itself much, but the money that they made. At one point, raw fish was lower in price than cooked, and cooking fish was really profitable, even with the burnings.

~~~Comeback~~~

Many players, including myself, have actually come to like the current world of runescape. It’s true alot of things have been missing, and make the game less fun. But come to realize, Jagex has been literally working their little butt’s off, trying to make you happy. In the many years that Jagex has been operating (not counting classic) they have only raised the cost of membership once! and only by like 1/4 of the current price.

~~~Things to think about~~~

You should stop complaining, and just enjoy the game. It’s like no other game, nothing comes close to it, including WOW. With TONS of minigames, graphical updates, and game enhancers, what’s there to complain about? Some measly little trade limit? People need to overcome their first impression of horrible game-play, and realize, runescape is actually, not just another game.
