Why I Still Play RuneScape
There are some good reasons why I still play runescape.
Well, as i see it most people think runescape was ruined by Jagex taking away the trade limit and getting rid of pking. I think that it was a bad idea to do that, even to stop scamming, and hacking. But i see this as an opportunity to find new and creative ways to make money, and make profit. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are quiting runescape just because they cant make 10k more on an ancient staff, or because there precious whip has risen to 2.7mil. It has not ruined runescape, it has made it different, and harder. It has been more challenging to make money the way I used to or buy the items I need. There are 5 good reasons why I haven’t quit runescape.
- Runescape is still a good game, always has been, always will be, even with the new updates.
- Runescape is still in development, whether it be new quests, items, or players, runescape will continue to change.
- My friends I have made in my clan are nice and cool, and are willing to help you skill, even if it means that they lose money to skill with you, and that means alot in a game.
- Runescape has become more of a challenge to trade, even though i would like to give my friend a gift for his birthday, or give them something nice to get them started, it will come in the future, and I will wait for that moment.
- It’s alot harder to make money, it’s a challenge that you need to overcome. Prices are changing, so one day you might be able to make a profit on a method, but the next day you might lose some money.
These are the reasons I haven’t quit runescape, and i hope you take these into consideration for the next time you think about quiting runescape. Runescape is still a great game and always will be.

Yea I agree, I was in the same situation as you were and I decided to not quit and keep playing.
I like your article, you put up a good argument against quiting the game and as a member gone back to non membership I’m trying to earn money and get through the trials and tribulations of being a non member.

i think that most of the people who quit just were looking for an easy game that they could be good at fast.
After pking, (didnt really care for), the trade limit (acctually saved runescape from bankruptcy),and now merch clans (i want to kill them all..), this had made the game much more of a challenge and makes getting good at it much more rewarding.
I figure that if everything still existed, i would have had much more money and much better armor, but now i have less, and i have to comprimise with the fact that killing things will get harder.
I learned to cope with this. Most people didnt.
(haha sorry this is so long i was sorta \\\”in the zone\\\” ^^)
I constantly go on and off of Runescape.
