The Best Games on FreeArcade
As we all know, there are millions of online games out there. Some are a lot more addictive than the others though; and these are some of the most addictive!
Breakout

The aim of this game is to bounce the ball into the coloured blocks, moving the platform at the bottom of the screen so that it is in a position for the ball to bounce back off once you have hit the blocks. You get extra points if you hit more than one block at once, and once all of the blocks are gone you can move onto the next level. There are several variations of this game, including versions where you can catch weapons that drop out of the blocks when you smash them, or where you can catch bonus points. In some versions, there are also bombs which equal game over if you catch them by mistake!
Solitaire

The aim of this game is to arrange a full pack of cards back into suits and the right order, starting from Ace and ending in King. You start by assambling the cards face down in seven rows, the rightmost row holding seven cards, the next six, the next five etc. The bottom card of each row is uncovered, and the rest of the cards are placed in a pile. The cards must be arranged, as shown in the diagram, from highest to lowest, arranged in black/red alternatives. When an ace is found, they can be placed at the top where you can build your suit. If you cannot make any moves with the cards you have, you may uncover one of the cards from the pile. The game is over when you cannot make a move even when you have uncovered all cards in the pile.
Kindergarten

This game would be mostly suited to young girls, as you get to run your own kindergarten! This game could be very educational to young children, especially if they were at the same age as the characters they would be creating, as it would give them a chance to understand how a kindergarten works. The player is allowed to pick how many children are allowed in each day, what activities they do and for how long, when they have a snack and when they are allowed to go home. They are also allowed to pick outfits for each of their characters, which would help them create a sense of style.
3D Car Racing

We’ve had one for the girls, so this is one for the boys! All boys are fascinated by the idea of motor racing, and this is probably why they love this game so much! This game allows the player to get right into the driving seat of the car, and even lets them design their own car and helmet before the race begins. There are many different levels of this game, and many different choices of tracks and opponants. The tempatation just to play once more to beat your own highscore on this game is incredible!
Sudoku

This game is one for the maths eagar, although you can play this game even if you’re not too keen on maths! The basic aim of this game is to place the numbers one to nine within each vertical and horizontal column, and also within each block of nine squares. The trick is to place the numbers using a method of trial and improvement, making sure that there is only one possible place for the number to go. If you play it like this, you will have got the hang of it in no time! You are provided with a couple of the numbers filled in for you at the beginning of the game, and the higher the level, the less numbers you are provided with.
Chess

There isn’t an awful lot of explaining that I can do for this game, as it is very simple! It’s just a game of chess exactly as you would play on a chess board in your games room. The aim is simple; checkmate. Before the opposition. It is really good as you can choose the experience level of your opposition, meaning that you can make it as easy or as hard for yourself as you see fit.
Checkers

Very much like the above game, it is played exactly as you would in your games room! The aim is to get rid of your oppositions pieces before they get rid of yours. You can only move forwards one space per turn, and have to ”jump” the opposition’s piece in order to take it. The winner is the player with the last piece on the board.
Other Interesting Games
Snake- First made famous by Nokia, this game has grown and grown. You have to lead your ’snake’ to eat pieces of food, which make it bigger each time it swallows one. The bigger the snake, the bigger your score, and the more food it can eat without crashing into a wall or crashing into its tail, the better.
Tetris- The popular game of coloured blocks. The player has to guide coloured blocks to fit together in a box. When a row is completed, it will disappear, giving you more room. You earn points both by doing this and simply placing the pieces at the bottom of the screen. The game is over when your pieces reach the top of the screen and have nowhere else to go to.
Golf- This game can differ depending on which site you go on, but there are many different versions of this popular sport, with many different holes for you to try out. You should have a search around to find a version that interests you. The main aim of this game is to get the ball in the hole within the required time or number of shots. The lower the better!

Solitaire is one of my favorite.
