How To Earn Money – 10 Simple Ways:

 Knowing and understanding when and when not to use the bank in Mafia wars is something even the more experienced players don’t know. There are 10 ways by which you can gain money.

These are:

1. Jobs – Jobs are both the main source of experience and money. They can cost as much as 60 energy to complete but can yield as much as $57,000,000 and C$6,000. Throughout your time in mafia wars, completing jobs will provide you with the majority of your money.
2. Helping others with jobs – When people post asking for help completing a job, this gives you chance to earn some bonus experience and cash. Keep an eye out for these on your news feed and in the favours box.
3. Helping others with attacks – Also people can post asking you to attack their enemy. Upon attacking, win or loose, you receive $100,000. This is something else to keep an eye out for on your news feed.
4. Making hits – Making hits can potentially provide and huge, huge income. To make the hit, all you have to do it deal enough damage to deal the killing blow, you do not have to win the fight. At lower levels, it is possible to cash in on the $8,000,000 hits just by saving enough stamina to attack the person on the hitlist a few times in a row. It is recommenced that you bank all cash on hand before attacking and that you are ready to deal with the consequences of carrying out a hit.
5. From the Godfather – In the Godfather tab, it is possible to purchase a changing amount of money from the Godfather for 10 Reward Points. This is regarded however as a big waste of these rare points.
6. Income – Your properties in NY will provide passive income every hour even if you are not online. This gives you the potential to gain a lot of money while afk, at work, at school or even on holiday.
7. Selling items – Anything that can be brought for cash in mafia wars can also be sold back. Selling items that you no longer need because you have found upgrades can provide you with much needed cash in a time of need.
8. Fighting – Fighting someone has the potential to yield $100,000 or C$100,000. If you are in much need of cash, you should attack everyone on the fight list that you think you can beat until you find someone who has a lot of cash on hand. If you fight someone and they yield $0 or C$0 then move onto the next person on the list.
9. Robbing – Robbing can provide you with huge amounts of cash if you need it. The amount of money earned from robbing someone is based on the type of property owned and the number of that property owned. Robbing someone could earn you anything from $200,00 to $855,000. It is recommended that you do not rob the same person over and over as this will more than likely result in a hit being placed on you, if you only rob someone once or twice they are much less likely to seek revenge.
10. Business – The Cuban Businesses, fully upgraded, can provide you with around C$300,00 a day. This however, unlike the NY properties, can be claimed every 3 hours and will not be given automatically.

How To Save Those Precious Cuban Pesos:

  Cuban Pesos can be somewhat of a rare commodity in mafia wars, so it is important that you either spend them or bank them as soon as possible. As stated above, it is possible to loose C$100,000 in a fight and that C$100,00 will be sorely missed and will take a fair time to earn back. When banking, the bank takes a 10% fee, however with money under C$10 it takes no interest so, depending on how strapped you are for cash and how safe you feel, this could end up saving you a lot of money.

When You Should And Shouldn’t Use The Bank:

  Most high level players are ignorant to the amount of money that they are loosing each day to the bank. Yes if you are attacked you loose money, but this is capped at $100,000 per fight. But when you bank, you loose 10% of your money, this does not have a cap. So, who do you think are the real bad guys? The Enemy Mafia? Or your beloved bank?

  Let me put it into perspective:

 Lets say you have $10,000,000,000 on hand. To put this in the bank will cost you 10% of $10,000,000,000 which is $1,000,000,000. Now to loose this amount of money in fights means that you will have to be attacked 10,000 times. Are you really that unpopular? If so then I suggest making another account and starting again as even people on the mafia Hitlist websites do not get attacked that many times in a long period of time.
 It is important to remember that at lower levels of course, the sums of money being banked will not be this high, so banking will more than likely save you money.

The Property Ladder – Buying Property And ROI Explained!

 When buying property, you should save up enough money to buy your property in blocks of 10, as this will reduce the cost by quite a significant amount. Each time you buy a property the cost increases by 10% of the base cost of that property. If you buy in blocks however you boycott this increase for that block, but unfortunately the ones you buy after that block will have the increase in price added on for all 10. Also, when you are looking to buy property, assuming you are aiming for the ‘Nest Egg’ achievement in the long run and you aren’t just buying for fun, you will want the property that is going to give you the best Return On Investment (ROI). I’ll use my properties as an example:

  I am currently level 268 and my income is at $87,260,250. I have 110 Mega Casino’s and to buy 10 more would cost me $4,560,000,000 + the cost of 10 Prime Downtown Lot’s $9,500,000 = $4,569,500,000. Now, Mega Casino’s provide $300,000 per hour. So if I were to buy 10 I’d be getting $3,000,000 per hour. So to work out the ROI I divide the initial investment cost of $4,569,500,000 by the Return per hour $3,000,000 which comes to 1523.166667. This means that this investment will pay $1 for every 1523 invested per hour. So it will repay the initial investment in 1523 hours and then produce a profit afterwards of 1$/1523 invested.
