  Now you are used to the basics of mafia wars, you more than likely have to idea where to go from here. Should you continue to level? Should you fight others? If you want to succeed at mafia wars then your best bet at this stage is to increase the size of your mafia.

How To Increase Your Mafia And The Benefits Gained:

Increasing Your Mafia Size:

  Increasing your mafia to 501 may seem like quite a daunting task, but the truth is that it can be achieved with very little effort, if you do not go for the 501, it is advised to at least keep your mafia size the same as your level to help defend you against people robbing you. As you are probably aware, there are hundreds of groups on Facebook for increasing your mafia size. A search for ‘Mafia Wars’ in the search bar and then selecting groups yields over 500 results. Your best bet is to join a few of these, pay no heed to any of the group names promising you 1000+ mafia in less than an hour as these are usually just gimmicks to get you to join. Once you join one of these groups, follow the instructions of the groups front page, post a short message saying, ‘Add me please’ followed by a link to your Facebook profile in the messages section and then you can do 1 of 2 things. Either you can scroll through the pages of ‘Add Me’ requests and add the members, or you can let the group work for you and watch as invites come pouring in daily.
  As easy as this may seem, there are a few things to remember:

1. Facebook does not like spam, adding too many people at once can get you pink boxed from adding more friends, or maybe even banned. Add friends each day but don’t go over the top and do not use any automated service for adding friends as this will more than likely get you banned. 
2. Some groups specifically say,’ No add me requests’ so it is probably a good idea to not post an add me request in those groups.
3. Bare in mind that if you are a low level and you have 501 mafia it will cost way too much to equip all of them and deal with the upkeep henceforth. Just equip what you can and aim to have 10 or so more mafia equipped than your level.

Benefits:

  As they say in the trade, Size Matters. There are a lot of benefits to be gained from increasing the size of your mafia. These are:

1. The ability to purchase some very impressive items from the both the ‘Limited Time Offers’  list and from the Godfather himself.
2. The more people in your mafia, the more choice you have of people to promote to your top mafia spots. The higher the level, the better the benefit gained from promoting them is generally true.
3. The more mafia you have, the more ‘Mafia Mike’s’ you can purchase from the ‘Property’ tab.
4. The more people you have in your mafia, up to 501, the higher the attack and defense bonus you’ll get in fights.
5. The more people in your mafia, the more people you have to help you if you are being bullied.
6. The more people in your mafia, the more chances you get of helping them on jobs and in wars giving you more chances for bonus experience.
7. The more people you have in your mafia, the more likely you are to have someone help you out on a job.
8. The more people you have in your mafia, the more people you have to trade with and to receive gifts from to complete collections faster.
9. You need a certain number of mafia members to engage some bosses.
10. Your potential earnings from jobs is increased.
