Building Your Boss:
As you play through Mafia Wars, you’ll gain stat points. These stat points can be used to increase your attack, defense, health, energy or stamina. There are several different stats builds that you can aim for and they all have benefits and disadvantages.
Different Builds:
The Tank:
The Tank build is really something to aim for once you reach around level 100. The tank build relies on three different factors.
1. Enough points in attack to win against a weaker foe.
2. Enough stamina points to provoke a revenge attack.
3. Enough defense to win fights started against you.
To play the tank build you should aim for 20-30 stamina, 150 health then split the rest of your stat points putting 20% in attack and 80% in defense. This should give you enough attack points to succeed against carefully selected targets and then enough stamina to anger them into hitlisting or calling in their mafia. The beauty of the tank build is that it works without you having to do anything. If you initiate the attack, then the person you have attacked retaliates and hitlists you. You get attacked numerous times whilst hitsted and you win roughly 20% of those fights. The tank build works in that it brings fights to you. However if you do not have 501 mafia and decent loot it is not recommended that you try this build. The downside to this is every time you get hitlisted, you loose 6 xp, so you have to make sure that you gain more than that by surviving.
The Powerleveler:
If you play this build it is often referred to as an energy account in game by other players. This build relies on one simple factor. Pure energy. The Powerleveler build can be used to level a second account to support your main account with items, to catch up to a friends level who has been playing longer than you or just to reach the highest levels. The Powerleveler works by putting 100% of your stats into energy. This, in theory, should provide you with enough energy to allow you to power through your level, barely having to wait for regen. The downside to this is that you have put no points into attack or defense, however although not entirely, this is somewhat compensated for by the loot you will gain from powerleveling.
The Assassin:
The Assassin build is one for those of you who like to fight. It works by splitting your stats putting 10% into stamina and the rest into attack. The Assassin can bring in huge income by stalking the hitlist and even by attacking higher level players. The downside to this build is that you have little energy to level may be slower than usual. However you will be able to earn huge income by carrying out hits. You also have little defense so retaliations can leave you quite hurt.
The Jack of All Trades:
The Jack of all Trades relies on you splitting your stats evenly through all of the choices. This is the build that I personally play. I have 200 Health, 805 Energy, 60 Stamina, 375 Attack and 413 Defense. The Jack allows you to be an all round good player. You’ll by no means be the best but there will be more than enough people that will be worse off than you.
