1.     Runes Of Magic

Probably the best World of Warcraft out there. Also, Runes of Magic is at least in my opinion the best classic online role playing game out there. Unlike WoW (I won’t bother keep writing the real name so deal with the acronym), Runes of Magic does not go showing off with tons of different classes and races, but goes according to the general role playing guideline and includes all the basic classes (warrior, priest, mage, rogue, scout, knight). The game offers a very interesting dual class system which means that you can pick two classes from the options above.

Runes of Magic is generally a very basic but working role playing game. You have the grind, you have the quests and you have the beasts. You also have the cash shop which ruins the word “free”, but buying crystals with real money is not necessary.

2.    Atlantica Online

An exceptionally interesting game with a turn-based role playing style. The game itself is pretty un-grindy and suits anybody. The auction system makes selling stuff easier and all the auto-features are very sweet and reduce the stress from walking long, boring distances.

The classes in the game are pretty simple and there is only the human race to pick from. The player-versus-player in the game is exceptionally good and well made, and you really need to put a lot of strategy into it to do well.

3.    Dragonica

It’s like Maplestory, but you can move backwards.

That pretty much sums up Dragonica. The game is a side scrolling 3d game which has a very well made pvp and raiding system which really makes it a diamond. There is pretty much grind in the game as you move on but luckily it is reduced by the quests and storyline. There are different versions for the game depending where you come from, here is the European.
