Three Free Online Games
In the midst of a global recession, here are three completely free games for you to enjoy.
I love online games, particularly free ones. They don’t have to be completely free, but so long as people can play the game to some extent without donating/subscribing I think that they are generally pretty great. I’ve only ever donated to one game, while playing at least ten. That shows that I’ve been able to enjoy myself enough to continue playing the game, without having to pay anything for it. The same can be true for you.
As with any type of game or product or anything of the sort, there will always be some particularly great games and some that aren’t so great. In general though, I think these games are wonderful, because they help people to pass the time and enjoy themselves, without having to pay (apart from their internet connection, but people are probably already paying for that). With that in mind, I thought that I would write an article about my 3 favourite free online games. If you wish to visit any of these games and play, you can simply click the game’s image here, and it will link you to the site!
Shadow Warfare
Shadow Warfare is a completely free to play, online, text-based game. The game was first released in February 2007, in a very primitive state. The first non-beta round began on January 1st of 2008. Since then, there has been 1 reset. The game resets everytime the final boss (or Shadow Demon) is defeated. Resets take place every 6-9 months approximately. This game, just like the others on this list, are completely free to play, meaning you can have fun gaming even in while the economic problems of the world are ongoing.
Darkthrone
Darkthrone is one of the biggest online games around, and had over 1 million accounts at 1 time. The game was recently reset, as it was coming out of its beta stage. The new “round” restarted recently, and the game is free to play. Like other games of these types, donations and subscriptions do support the game, but they’re by no means neccesary. I know that just by playing the game and seeing the ads on the site, I’m supporting the makers. If you don’t feel like paying, you won’t be put under any pressure, and that is what I love about free-to-play games. In this game, you can become a Goblin, Knight, Elf or Human, all of which have different bonuses. You then have to become the strongest player in the game.
Ferion
Ferion is by far the biggest game on this list at this point in time. There are currently more than a quarter of a million players signed up, and there are more than 1000 players online pretty much every minute of the day. The game, unlike most games of its kind, isn’t dominated by alliances, meaning that a single player can be powerful without the help of others. This game is free to play, like Shadow Warfare and DarkThrone, which means you can save your cash for things you really need. Games are for enjoyment, and Ferion is one of the best when it comes to this. If you’re looking for a game you can spend minutes on per day, or hours, this is the game for you. It’s suitable for casual and hardcore gamers alike!
