World of Warcraft – Making Money with The Auction House
In this article I will tell you how you can make some money with the Action House (also known as AH) in WoW.

When playing WoW, gold (WoW money) can make the game much more enjoyable. With more gold you can do many things. You can improve your characters gear, enchants, you can pay people to take you through dungeons. You can also trade with other players for items. In WoW there are many ways of making money. You can run through instances collecting loot or perhaps you can use your two major professions. There are many ways to make money but gold in WoW is precious, so how can you easily get more. If you want to make some quick easy money I would recommend the Auction House.
Major cities in WoW have a Auction House. (Shattrath and Dalarn don’t have one) Clicking on one of the auctioneers will bring up a dialogue box. From this dialogue you can search for items. Either by entering an item name or by looking up items by categories. By doing this you will find out what price other items are selling for in the Auction House.
To make sure that your items sell instead of everybody else’s, sell you items 25% less than the lowest priced item. If someone in WoW puts up an item for a extremely low price, you should quickly buy that item and sell it for a reasonable price. Don’t forget that you must also pay the fee there is for each sale you make so make sure your making a profit and not losing money.

Another way you can make money with the Auction House (AH) is to spend a lot of time looking at one particular market. I would recommend looking at either leather or enchanting materials as almost every single player will need these sooner or later. Scan through the levels and gain some knowledge on the selling price of the items. Try finding the average selling price and how the prices vary. Once you have researched you can see when an item is put up for a extremely low price. You can buy these items and then sell them to make a profit. To make sure someone will have to buy your item, Enchanting items/reagements are a very good category to look at since there is no fee charged when you make a sale. This is a very good way of making money.
Also don’t forget to look at notes that Bizzard release for any upcoming patches, if an item is being buffed quickly stack up on that item. After the patch you may find that that item is not selling more on the Auction House. Timing is critical to becoming successful at the Auction House. People in the hardcore raiding guilds usually need potions or enchants before they start the raid. I find that a lot of raids start at 7PM on Friday and Saturday nights(US TIME) If you put up your items in the Auction House before 5PM or maybe 6PM you should be able to make a very good profit. I have done this many times and it works really well.

Addons might also help you in WoW. I only use one at the moment but on sites like Curse.com there are tons of addons. These addons can help you sell items on the Action House. Prices will change from realm to realm, so there is no substitute for spending time looking at prices and researching items in your realm’s auction house. You should pay attention to all prices and how they change over time so you can make your own spreadsheet on the prices for a particular item. This will ensure that you are not wasting your time and it will help in the future as you have a hard copy of the price trends.
The Auction House these days is my main income for World of Warcraft and at times I will try other methods but I will always return to the Auction House when I want to make some quick gold. Remember sharing is caring so don’t keep all your method secret, if you are making good cash from an item i’m not saying that you should tell everyone but tell your friends. However if you do this they might tell their friends and it might eventually be known by the whole WoW community.
