A brief introduction to Onlive, a new gaming service for the pc and mac.
You may have seen Onlive advertised at the start of YouTube videos, but what is it really?
Onlive is a service that allows you to stream games to your PC, mac, tv or tablet. It means that even if your computer isn’t built for gaming, you can still play all the games on the Onlive marketplace as they run it for you and stream it straight to your computer.
Onlive allows you to try a game for free before you buy it with a taster trial, or you could rent it for three or five days. Then if you decide that you enjoyed your game then you can pay extra to have unlimited access.
Another advantage to Onlive is that the games you buy take up no space on your computer!
One downside to Onlive is that if you have a slow download speed, you’re not going to be able to play the games smoothly.
However if you have a reasonably good download speed, i highly recommend this gaming service!
