Playing Crysis Without Crashing on Vista

Tired of having Crysis crash on you, Frustrated at watching the load screen say 100% for hours, furious at the limited support that Microsoft gives you when you call.

Well now you can end this by completing a few simple steps that will allow you to play Crysis without crashing.

First you need to download and update Punkbuster for Crysis.

• go to www.evenbalance.com.
• got to the support page
• download punkbuster setup
• run the setup
• add the game Crysis
• then Update

It may take a while but the Punkbuster Client will update for Crysis.

Now you have to change the target on the Crysis .exe shortcut.

• Right click on the shortcut
• Click Properties

• Add -DX9 to the target window after the apostrophes

Now Crysis will always start up in DX9 mode since DX10 is observed to be unstable on Vista.
