Rainbow Six Vegas

Rainbow Six Vegas.

Situated in Las Vegas there are many, many missions for the story mode, which can be done in co[op, which, may I add, is a great addition to the game. Offline, the computer AI is swift and the terrorist hunts can be very difficult especially when you are on your own. But this makes the game challenging and you can see your improvements as you go.

Online multiplayer on this game is top notch. Connection speeds are good, there is not too much lag and generally the people on there are very friendly. There are many modes such as team matches like team sharpshooter or single (on your own) matches like survival. The team matches are especially fun, and providing everyone is communicating you get a real sense of teamwork. However, connecting to a game to see that it has just started the round (so you will wait another 10 mins) can be very annoying and so to can unexpected game errors. But these are minimal and hardly take away the excitement of the game.

Online play features a rank system in which you will be awarded a certain number of points after a multiplayer game, no matter if you win or lose. This gives beginners to the game better chance of fun, as we all know how annoying it is to see yourself getting shot from every direction every minute. The ranking up system works well and you get to unlock more guns and armor.

The gameplay is solid and fluid. There are many gadgets to use (as you would expect from Tom Clancy) and there are many manoevres to pull off. Ever fancied smashing through a window to unexpectant enemies? You can do that. There is a very wide range of guns and unlockable armour that give the game longevity. Guns can be customised with a range of scopes which adds to the good customisation part of the game. The music in the game is quite minimal, but when there is music it adds to the tense atmosphere of the game.
