Risk is probably the best-known and considered as most-played war game. First made and published in 1959, Risk has proven to be an enduring classic game.

A Short History of Risk

 In 1986, Castle Risk played on a detailed map of Europe was released and published; 2001 brought Risk 2210 AD also featuring underwater and moon territories, and several new and improved versions have been also published since then. Risk has been published in many different languages.

Risk is a game of some sort of world domination, where the object is to dominate and conquer the world. To win, player must attack and also defend attacking to acquire some territory, and defending to keep it from opponents. The game board also features a map of 6 continents divided into 42 territories. It’s a game of careful strategy as players battle to win by launching daring attacks, defending their territory, and moving across places and continents with their cunning plan. Play three different variations: Capital Risk, World Domination and Secret Mission Risk. This game will engage and may challenge any player to join the ranks of world leaders.

The common standard Risk board game includes Risk cards, dice, and six sets of miniature armies. The newer game editions include new scenarios and new objectives, and are stand-alone games not expansions. The software version also features cutting-edge artificial intelligence and some stunning 3-D graphics, as well as excellent multiplayer options. There are few ways to win and play an official version of Risk online, but many unofficial sites offer the opportunity. If players are interested in playing by computer but not online, there are some freeware and shareware programs available in addition to the official game CD-ROMs. Giving players the choices and making them satisfied and enjoying the game play with their friends.
