Dofus Game Review

Dofus is one of the the most unappealing games I have ever played. It also has a pretty stupid name. It is a 2D French based online game that enables you to gain levels by combat levels in Craftings. E.g Woodcutting, carpenting, smithing etc. It can be addicting but you tend to do the same thing over and over again. It does get boring and quests don’t seem to be a big part of the game itself.

There is a P2p version which offers more leveling help and more Crafts, but i dont recommend it.

You start off in a tutorial like environment which is quite hard to understand at times. There isn’t much individuality between characters. The armours look good in the inventory but are mainly one color when you wear them so it seems pretty strange.

Their are classes, each are meant to be different but some look very similar to each other. Each have different spells and abilities though which does add a little bit of uniqueness. Here are the class names:

Pro’s

• It is a flash game which is pretty neat considering flash is mainly used for web design
• Very original … Ain’t nothing like it …
• Good sounds and music
• Wide variety of classes

Con’s

• - Very repetitive
• - The stronger players prey on the weak ones
• - Not a very friendly community overall
• - One player complained about harrassment and stalking that may have been by someone who worked for the game creators company!
• - Doesn’t offer much to F2p players

Overall

The game does offer a lot in a paying players world and there is a wide range of sounds,music and other features. Dofus is definitely for some as there are quite a few other good reviews on it. But this review is in my opinion, and in my opinion the game is for some but not for all.
