Jagex – Money Hungry?
My theory on Jagex’s “Updates”.

Hello there fellow reader,
I have been playing Runescape for about 5 years now and i still get an enjoyment out of the game. Even though alot of people have quit because of recent updates, i still continue to play. More for the Community than the game.(I like to go with IRL friends to God Wars, Barrows, etc). I hope that you to can still get some enjoyment out of the game.
I have a few theories that i have gathered on my own accounts and through out the RuneScape community(Ingame and Forums).
My First Theory:
Jagex has a new owner. Jagex is now run by a new CEO (taking over Andrew Gowers position). Ever since this “New guy” has joined the Jagex team RuneScape has changed dramtically. I believe that Mod MMG (the new owned) wants the game to be an exact interpratation of what he see’s it in his head. But this has created alot of negative feedback for the game. Most agree that this should be a democracy. The Owner of Jagex and its Mods(Staff) barely ever listen to player feedback. Even after promising several times that he would take into account what was done in the game more based on people idea’s of the game, he has barely followed up on his statements.(Sounds familiar).
My Second Theory:
Lets say that Mod MMG isnt totally crazy. Maybe hes just Money Hungry. When Runescape had free pking with no limits Jagex actually lost money. People would Real World Trade with stolen credit cards, and buy runescape accounts with stolen credit cards. The credit card company would then tell Jagex that it was a scam and Jagex lost money. So with the new “Boundrys” Jagex loses way less money. A very plausable Theory if you ask me.
My Third Theory:
This is my third and last theory. Its pretty much a combination of Theory A and B. Mod MMG is creating the game with his own thoughts in mind, while also gaining more money. I believe that this theory of mine is the most plauseable.
But hey, you can think what you want. I will continue playing untill i get bored. Id also like to say that i do have a life and I am in HighSchool. I get most of my play time in, in the summer. School takes up alot of my life and so does football.

1) The Jagex team DOES listen to player feedback.
2) Do you think Jagex would last much longer if they lost a lot of money? Think realistically and you’ll realise that although Jagex does seem to be money-hungry from your perspective, they’re trying to save the company. Money is what you need to get on in life.
3) Do you think Jagex is a one-man team? You have the creative developer teams, the art teams, the technical nerds, etc…, so in this case I’m not sure “his own thoughts” would be the exact phase that you wanted. Am I right?
4) After what I read, I don’t even know why you’re still playing. O.o

Steps: 1) Sign Up… Try using a secondary/spam email
2) Click “View Available Offers” and the Left Menu
