The Upcoming Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver

The remake of Pokemon Gold and Silver for the DS is finally coming out for Japan sometime next month!

“You don’t love Pokemon enough unless you scar it into your skin for life.” These are the words from an incredibly genius Pokemon fan from a gaming forum. It’s been 9 long years since the the revolutionary Pokemon Gold and Silver were released in North America. They were the second generation of Pokemon coming soon after the arrival of Blue and Red. (It was a mere 2 years.) Unfortunately after the first two series, the Pokemon industry immediately fell short of its amazing first two Pokemon sets and soon Pokemon meant nothing for me. The third and fourth generation of Pokemon which consisted of Ruby and Sapphire and Diamond and Pearl respectively just didn’t seem to carry the wonder and greatness that the first two generations had. Perhaps I was getting older and growing apart from Pokemon. But now that the remake of Gold and Silver are coming out, a new heartfelt emotion towards Pokemon has regrown! Finally the legendary second generation of Pokemon gaming is coming out and I am totally looking forward to replaying the Pokemon game for the first time in a very long time.

The new Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver will contain new enhancements that range from its graphics to its gameplay. I suppose its graphics will be the most noticeable change because it is being remade for the Nintendo DS as opposed to the original Game Boy it was first made for. The 3D capabilities of the Nintendo DS will greatly improve the images of each Pokemon that I once had so much love for. Hopefully this love will bloom again like Chikorita’s evolution. Also, a change of its gameplay includes being able to have absolutely any Pokemon follow you around. That is as long as you have already caught it in a Pokeball of course. And amazingly, coming with that walking gameplay includes a pedometer called the PokeWalker. The Nintendo company had thoroughly thought this game through by telling kids that they should exercise too. Finally, an unimportant fact about the upcoming Pokemon game is that the two legendaries, Ho-Oh and and Lugia will have their own battle theme. Although only a few changes are being stated here, there are definitely more to be released as the release date for the game comes nearer and nearer. The new changes definitely accentuate the remake of the game and will make it a lovable and complete game for the next generation of Pokemon lovers.

The original two Pokemon series were the turnpoints of gaming of my childhood. They started the whole RPG craze that has lasted with me till now and will still last with me for the rest of my life. Now that the remakes of Pokemon Gold and Silver are coming out I’m looking forward to another RPG loving experience to make a difference in my life. I love Pokemon all over again!!
