RuneScape vs. World of Warcraft: Which is Better?

Runescape players say that Wow is worse and vice versa. So which is better. I like many other say that they are equal. Runescape and Wow both have their advantages and disadvantages. These are both great games that I enjoy playing. In this article I will tell you what I think of both. I am a member of both games so I know what I am talking about.

Membership

Runescape: Membership costs $5 USD per month.

Wow: Membership cost $15 USD per month.

Difficultly

Runescape: Fairly easy, Targets Teenagers, 9 – 17 (Main Age Group)

Wow: Complex and more fun once you get better, Targets Gamers,16+ (Main Age Group)

Level of Fun

Runescape: Fun to play minigames and PK. Skills get repetitive and boring.

Wow: Fun to play in General. Somethings occasionally get repetitive (very rarely).

Graphics

Runescape: Advanced Java Graphics. Browser Game. No game download.

Wow: Game download. Above average graphics. Could be improved.

Time

Runescape: Takes a fairly long time to reach max level but not very hard to earn money.

Wow: Game is very hard. Gold takes long periods of time to acquire unless your rich (in real life)

PvP

Runescape: Runescape PvP is one of the best things about Runescape. Extremely Fun.

Wow: Need permission to attack players unless on specific server.

Compatibility and Requirements

Runescape: Runescape runs on any OS that supports JAVA SE. Supports Mac, requires nVidia Geforce 3 or better to run HD. 

Wow: Needs stronger graphics card to play properly. Runs on some of the newer Macs (with stronger graphics,)

Characters

Runescape: One character per account.

Wow: More than one character per account. Able to do different classes.

Website, Support and Updates.

Runescape: Excellent support. Website is nice. Forums are good. Updates weekly.

Wow: Good Support. Website well structured. Regular updates to client.

This is only my opinion and from my results you would say that I prefer Runescape over WoW. I do not. I prefer WoW and Runescape. I play both but I do not become a member for WOW every month. The high WoW membership cost is why I play Runescape more.

In Runescape I think training skills is boring but PvP and mini games are always fun. I’m really fond of the Bounty Hunter (a sort of PvP area) in Runescape as I always make lots of money. It is fun to fight other player and Runescape has grown more popular since Jagex released the new PvP system. It is not like the same old PvP but has a very good system that gives players very good drops. Runescape frequent updates are also nice because you get new things to try out every week. I really like playing Runescape as well but if there was no minigames and PvP I would probably not play.

In WoW I really like the people. Most are friendly and fun to play with. I hate it when WoW glitches appear as they wreck the game. WoW support is really great with helping you with any problems but I’ve had one problem that I was not able to resolve with them. I love all the WoW quests. They are much, much better than Runescape quests. The good thing about WoW is its large worlds, better story-lines and the better graphics. The WoW game play is also very good. I really enjoy playing WoW.
