What Online MMO and Rpg`s Do to You
This is very stunning to a lot of people. Do you ever spend time on the computer playing online games – Well I’m about to tell you how playing those games can screw up your lives.
When you first find a good online game. You will desperatly try to play as much as possible that day. Then the next day all you think about is how your character can get stronger. Now if you can divide your time properly then that isn’t too much of a problem, but if you can’t, you’ll experience a lot of problems. You keep on thinking about the game. How you can improve, and that’s just the first week. Now in the second week, it’s where your nightmares come true. All you think about is getting money in your paticular game. You think about the ways to make money, however it’s done. A lot of people then think about killing a paticular creature in the game. But the worst case scenario is to hack. Yes you heard me! How hackers are born! You download all this useless junk on your computer, and get ready to hack.
If you succesfully hacked the game, it will take a few months to quit unless you really don’t have a life. But if it’s unsuccesful, you either quit since your guy is banned, or you start a new account which then you repeat the proccess all over again. But just the proccess of hacking will screw your life up.You either get enough money of don’t get enough money. If you do, you can then enjoy the game properly. But if you don’t, then you will have to keep on trying to make a fortune while best enjoying the game.
But from one thing I experienced from those kinds of online games is when you use up all your time trying to get money. That way, it is very boring and you may or may not earn a huge profit. You begin talking to friends that play the simular game about all these things. In fact, you also make your friends addicted to the game.
After one or two months of playing an online game. You begin to lose your mind in it. Everything you think or do is affected by the game. That leads to bad grades in school and just plain getting into trouble. Trust me, when I use to play these online games. I had a very hard time concentrating on my homework. I even had trouble sleeping.
When you hit your third month, things really start to screw up. You will start to search up the internet for guides for your game. You can spend up to hours searching the web for a good guide but in the end your empty handed. And yes, sometimes you do find good guides. But you will think and infer about it all day and night. How are you supposed to lived like that? Especially when you also have to play and find guides and more information at the same time.
When you hit your 4th or 5th month I’m thinking that your character has grown a lot by now unless you are still one of those poor bums looking for money. Since almost every online game has a membership or some extra credits that you can buy with real money to benifit from. You will certainly want to get it. But most parents are against it, how are you supposed to get it? You make a paypal account online and earn money. Now here’s the problem, you have to find a good website to earn. You then you waste time on that. Then you have to earn the money. Now you have to earn money, while playing the game, while looking for guides and more info and you constantly think about the game. How are you supposed to live?!
Since you constantly (non-stop) think about about the online game, you get bad grades. Now if your parents are loose, then they won’t do anything. But if they’re not loose [they don't have to be strict] they will probably forbid you from using they computer for a while. Now if you can’t use the computer, you can’t earn, you can’t browse the web, and you can’t play. Trust me, it will be a fatal blow.
So if you think closely, isn’t it like smoking? (even though I’d rather be addicted to a game) You are so obsessed that you don’t have motivation or time or will to do anything. You will be in ruin.
