10 Tips for Surviving in CoD: WaW: Zombies (Nacht Der Untoten)
Whether you play CoD: WaW: Zombies on your iPhone, iPod, PS3, Xbox or PC, these 10 tips will help you make it past round 20. Whether you play alone or with friends, these tips will help all of you survive for as long as you can.
The following tips are intended for the Nacht der Untoten map (the first map). I will write tips for the other maps as I become more familiar with them.
1. Make Use of Your Handgun and Knife
You start with 500 points, a handgun, and a knife. You might be tempted to buy a better gun right away, but saving your points for the mystery box is important. Try lasting as long as you can with your knife alone, then use the handgun and knife until you have to buy a better weapon.
I use my knife and handgun until I have enough point to open the door to the mystery box room, and to open the mystery box. Sometimes I get shafted, ending up with a Kar98, but sometimes I get a nice BAR, Trench Gun, or even the Ray Gun.
2. Avoid Buying Guns Off Walls
Buying guns off walls guarantees you get what you want, but they are often more costly and it eliminates the chance of getting a Ray Gun. I recommend buying mostly from the mystery box, as the Ray Gun is key in latter rounds. If you get the Ray Gun, then buying a secondary weapon from the wall is usually okay.
3. Avoid Constant Reloading
If you’re like me, you suffer from something called “Constant Reloading”. No matter what gun I use, I always seem to want to reload after firing 1-5 shots (even if it holds 30 or more). It’s good to avoid constant reloading, I know this from experience.
I always want to reload, and while I’m reloading a zombie pops up. I suggest making sure the coast is clear before reloading. If your gun is empty, well of course you should reload!
4. Get the Ray Gun
They Ray Gun can get boring at times, I personally prefer running around with a nice shotgun, but in the long run you need the Ray Gun if you want to make it past round 20 (unless you are very skilled with your favourite weapon). You will eventually get the Ray Gun, so keep trying at the mystery box.
I usually get it around round 10-15, I find I need it once I get to round 15, as the other guns are very ineffective. If you don’t get the Ray Gun at first, keep trying. Be sure to save it until you need it, as you might not get Max Ammo often.

Ray gun doesnt work in itouch version any suggestions why?
This is a good article but it makes me sad. How come they didn’t add a new Nazi Zombies onto the recent Call of Duty. I hope they don’t just plan on abandoning it but it seems like they will.
i made it up to level 23 by my self
and i play on the ipod touch
i made it 2 levl 21 but da ray gun doesnt work good on da ipodtouch.ps, i play on da ipodtouch.(duh)
I’ve made it to 19.but in the iPod version the Ray gun is Terri le and I was living off the flamethrower which was suprising great.
ive made it to like 24 on i touch i hate it wen i kill myself with a maltov ocktail.. but the 2 weapons u want are the ray gun (wich dose work) and the mg42 or brawning at like wave 18+
i have gotten to round 18
ipod touch
my trick is getting the 8 gage then killing zombies until i have 3000 points then clearing the debris and gettin the sawed of until i have 5000 points and i go downstairs to get the double barrel shot gun
My trick is to use my pistol and knife until after round four. Then I open the first stair debris, run towards the second one, and open it to get into the mystery box room. I prefer the trenchgun and Deployable MG, then I just rund around the pillars dodging all zombies and occasionally looking back to shoot. I have gotten to round 37 just by running around and firing my trenchgun, it may take like three to four shots, but it takes down several at a time.
i like the corner near the sniper rifle cabinet (grandfather clock) especially with 3 or more players. someone watches the window to the right (with just about any gun) while everyone else mows down zombies as they run down that long stretch. playing on my PS3.
