Free Account for World of Warcraft: Full Review
Yes, it’s true that WOW is now free to play, although, naturally, there are some restrictions to it. But, apart from that, what can be expected from these types of accounts?
One of the biggest MMORPG released a «Free to Play» mode, so that everyone can experience the phenomena without any costs. Of course, this type of account has some limitations, but, still, what can a player expect from this new mode?

First of all, the most obvious barrier is the level cap, which for free accounts is limited to 20 (the maximum is 85). So, the question remains, “what can a player do until level 20 and after that”? The answer is… a lot! Naturally, not as much as you could do if you pay for a normal account, but, still you can enjoy some of unique possibilities of the game.
After reaching the level limitations, the player has already completed something like 100 quests in the zone where his race lives, so, the adventure continues, searching for other areas. Since there are 5 races available (both for Alliance and Horde), this elevates the number of places where missions can be completed, and some reputation points gained after completing them. Doing so, you will get discounts over specific articles or equipment sold in their cities.

In the PVP [Player Versus Players] area, at level 20, you can go to two different battlegrounds – Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin. In these areas you can play against the other faction players in order to defend your frontier base, and capture enemies’ building or items.
As for doing instances, like completing quests in Dungeons, the player is entitled to a maximum of 6 dungeons, all over the world map. In these places, enemies are tougher and you probably need to find some friends to join you (at least four) in order to help you complete these missions.

However, players should also have in mind the restrictions of free accounts that also are present and influence the gameplay experience. As such, in the free account you cannot visit the auction house or mailbox, have more than 10 Gold and professions capped at 100 ranks. Also, inviting persons to join your party quests or raiding is unavailable… There are, of course, more limitations, but the ones above are really the more serious ones.
However, there is a lot to do in a free WOW account and there is a good range of adventures waiting for the newcomers. For someone that is just looking for some fun during his/her free time, why not giving it a chance? World of Warcraft is waiting every day for new heroes to lead them into the adventure of this fantasy world.
