Soloing Firelands Trash for Profit and Reputation as a Hunter!

This guide will cover how to solo firelands trash as a hunter for both profit and reputation. It covers basics such as entering the raid instance with only one character to soloing without a raid id that has any bosses down.

The mobs that you can easily kite are the flame scorpion packs and fire turtle packs. The yellow numbers are the scorpions and the green numbers are the turtles. Here are their locations:

Once you feel confident enough, you can also take on the packs of heel hounds and the packs of pyrelords although they do require more skill and any mistakes made will kill you. The yellow numbers are the pyrelords. The hell hounds have  a large patrol path but I’ve marked the places where its best to pick them up with a green number. Here are their locations:

The hellhounds have a faster than normal run speed and you may have you use your ice traps to effectively control them. As for the pyrelords, the little ones have a huge damage shield. When the big one ignites them, nuke them down. However, if you(or your pet) is too close to a ignites pyrelord, it will prob die from the huge aoe.

5. Additional Notes

Here are a few random information about these pulls that didn’t fit anywhere else.

Bring a cat or a wolf, the better stats you have, the more mobs you can kill in any given amount of time and this leads to more rep/profit. Your pet will mostly just be around to provide you the buff, so put it on passive and have it follow you. I have found that sometimes this is an issue as it will lag behind you and get killed, esp if you killing a mob of turtles or pyrelords. What I did was put it on position in the center of the circle I was kiting the mobs around using the move to command and just manually click the buff once every minute or so.

Never fire off more then 1 shot in between your multi shots. This is to keep your bombardment buff up, which is very important. You can macro your multi shots with aspect of the hawk and your steady shots with aspect of the fox (eg. !Aspect of the Hawk) so that you can squeeze out as much dps as possible.

If a single mobs somehow breaks loose from the pack for whatever reason, fire off a quick scattershot using a mouseover macro or using addons like clique(My alt is a priest so I had this already set up).

Once you are done looting and collecting all your epic items and patterns(hopefully!), run out and reset. Rinse and repeat and profit!

Thank you for taking time to read this and I hope it has helped in some way! If you spot any errors in my suggestions or have any improvements to suggest, feel free to drop me a mail at ninepinplasma@gmail.com

Till the next epic adventure,

Arbus
