World of Snorecraft
World of Warcraft, we all know is the worlds biggest mmorpg going, but is it coming to an end?

Years ago blizzard came out with world of warcraft, or “wow” for short. The game grew large very quick with the 40 man raids and great content.

Then followed burning crusade as the first expansion, now up to this point everything was going great. Raids were challenging and progressive. PvP was fun, minor things could be unfair but that also made the game fun. I mean shield block stacking warriors that can one hit a rouge is pretty funny.

Then wrath of the lich king came out, or “wotlk” for short. Now this took a whole new spin on things, they wanted to appeal to a new crowd, the less hardcore folks who didn’t play 24/7 and had jobs. Yes a smart business choice but they tried to please them so much it ruined the game, instead of a healthily mix they totally took out progression. A huge factor in the game of why the fans loved the game just got thrown out the window for people who play once a week, a little unfair? But blizzard tried to listen so I give them credit, they came out with the next expansion, cataclysm. They wanted to get those difficult raids back! Well after trying to have a happy mix of both sides, the hardcore players and the low core players wants and needs in a raid they well kind of blew that too. Sad but very true, first the raids were hard but as soon as someone complained it was weakened “nerfed” so badly that anyone could sweep a raid. They mostly did that as soon as another raid came out though, which is the only good part. Everyone would just sit in a major town and run around after the first week, maybe do a raid then come sit in town for a few hours. The game became a money pit and alot of people started to quit.

As for the newest expansion coming, Mist of Pandaria I am in mixed feelings, one why the hell are panda’s being thrown in randomly in the lore, and attacking us? But on the other hand they are working on more than just raiding, since that’s all they did in cataclysm. They have a BUNCH of content coming out, some people are worried it’s too much, because they might not go as in depth now or what. i think if this fails though wow will die out, and a new king of mmorpg’s will emerge. Probably guild wards 2 since that has an outrageous amount of hype.
