Rts’s
My favorite real time strategy games.
Back again with another installment for my top 5 picks for games this time for RTS’s
-
Battle for Middle Earth 2:
This game to me was a lot like stronghold meets command and conquer because it has the midevil aspect to it but each race has their different perks. I personally like to use humans but there’s also goblins, orcs, elves, and dwarves. The game itself plays like a typical RTS but the heroes in it make life easier. While getting Ohta to level 7 to use wirlwind is a pain in the butt it gets to be worth it because it utterly dominates everyone on xbox live.
-
Command and Conquer 3:
Tiberium wars is my favorite installment of the series so far because to be perfectly honest it’s the only one I’ve played. Me loving to be the bad guy in video games instantly picked up the NOD campaign as soon as physically possible. The vehicles rock, the infantry rocks even harder. All around awesomeness and fun.
-
Stronghold:
This was actually the first RTS I’ve ever played and ever since then I’ve fallen in love with this genre of games. While pleasing the peasants does sometimes make me ever so weary, it’s all worth it when my massive army moves in and kills the king in the neighboring area. Straight up midevil makes it classic in my opinion and it’s basically the granddaddy of RTS’s in my opinion.
-
Stronghold Crusader:
It’s exactly the same as stronghold except you’re in the desert. On crusades. Still very fun but doesn’t hold the same appeal to me for some reason. Still one of my favorites however earning it #4.

Age of Empires Series:
Had to see it coming. The games in general are just fun. Solid story, fun armies, funner battles. While normally I don’t like to use cheats, as soon as I beat this game I found myself entering cheats mid battle to summon a large group of monkies to smite my enemies. I love this game and it’s one of the most fun RTS’s out there.
