RuneScape Quest Guide

This is a guide to a quest that has most free players up in a knot. That quest is dragon slayer! The rewards of this quest are great, the ability to wear rune plate body and green dragon hide as a free player is a privilege.

I completed this quest before the hunter skill came out and I remember exactly how I did so. It was a tough quest but in the end Elvarg met his end! Here is how I did it.

To start it Talk to the Guild Master of the champions guild. Keep talking to him until you have asked all options and on the quest list it says that you have started the quest. He will refer you to Oziach who lives just outside of edgville to the north-west. Talk to him about rune plate body. Then ask him how you can become a hero. He says that you will have to kill Elvarg the mighty green dragon. The map to the island he lives one has been broken up into three pieces.

Go back to the champions guild and ask all options once again. He will say the the first map piece is in melzar’s maze. The second the oracle has and the third a goblin named wormbrain has. Ask him about melzar’s maze and he will give you a key to it.

Melzar’s Maze:

You’ll need good fighting armour lots of food adnd the maze key for this part.

Use the maze key given to you to enter melzar’s house. This is found north-west of rimmington. Here is a map of which colored doors to go into. (remember not to waste the colored key on any other door than this one)

Here is the list on how to get your keys:

Red Key – Kill Zombie rats (Level-3)

Orange Key – Kill Ghosts (Level-19)

Yellow Key – Kill Skeletons (Level-22)

Blue Key – Kill Zombies (Level-24)

Magenta Key Kill Melzar the Mad (Level-43)

Green Key – Kill a Lesser Demon (Level-82)

There is a chest in the room after the demons. You will find the masp piece in it. Once you have it climb up the ladder and exsit Melzar’s Maze.
