MTG Talk- Green/black EDH Decks

Here are some reccomendations of things I’ve encorporated into my Black/Green EDH deck.

I use Nath of the Gilt-Leaf as my general. One thing I’ve learned is that people absolutely hate discarding at random, so have a Whispersilk Cloak ready for him.

Nath of the Gilt-Leaf

Nath combos superbly with Mind Slash. You basically have them discard until you run out of black mana. Have a Grave Pact down, and you’re chewing through their creatures all at once.

Another good addition to this is Vulturous Zombie. You end up with a massive flier.

Personally I take my deck in a very token-y direction so Mycoloth is a must!

Then the tokens fuel Doomgape, Xathrid Demon, and Devouring Strossus for heavy-hitting end-game action.

Other great inclusions are: Asceticism, Savra, Queen of the Golgari, Primeval Titan, Grave Titan, Liliana Vess, Mind’s Eye, Deity of Scars, Gift of the Deity, and Ashnod’s Altar.

In my opinion, this is the best option for a black/green EDH deck. A friend of mine has a similar deck that uses Savra as the general, but his lacks the large creatures I use to finish the game. Personally, I like mine better. You get the death and devastation of black, and the savage beat-down of green. It’s a lot of fun, and very consistant. Load it with mana ramp, kill spells, and some beefy creatures to finish the job.
