Need for Madness Tips and Tricks
A guide to the cars and racing styles in the game “Need for Madness” by Radical Play.
The Tornado Shark
The classic kind of dukes of hazard car. This car has the best aerial control of the beginning cars. Personally, that and the fact that it looks like a spaceship is all that’s going for it. Its about as fast as the caninaro, has acceleration comparable to that of the nimi, and is in the league of the nimi in power save.
The Formula 7
The classic racer. This is the fastest car of the entire game. It also has amazing acceleration. The downside is its strength. Basically, if you touch another car at racing speeds, you’re owned, wasted, and flung across the field simultaneously.
The Wow Caninaro
This is the beginners wasting car. It has good strength and power save. Except for speed related stats, its comparable to the max revenge. When I got to the electric ring enough, I was able to take out lead oxide with the help of a nimi to distract him.
The La Vite Crab
This is my favorite beginning car. It has excellent top speed, accel, and handling. I use this when I need to get there fast and I know I have no chance of wasting the other cars. Well, at least in the first few levels. In speed its about as fast as the formula 7, but it can stand up to a whack from a lead oxide without obliterating itself.
The Nimi
One word. LOL. This is the challenge car. What appears to be a Japanese import, it handles okay, but is absolutely horrible in every other aspect. The only thing it is good for is distracting other cars while you run away.
The Max Revenge
This is the car I use to contend with the la vite crab. It is a typical muscle car; it can get up to a good speed, it can take a beating and waste other cars, and handles insanely well.
The Lead Oxide
I never really use this car for much else besides wasting el king on level five. Its basically a ma revenge but with a little more in each stat besides handling. Plus it looks like a hearse, death to your enemies. It’s also pretty annoying to beat on level 3.
The El King
Until you get to Dr. monster, this is your waster. Its not very fast, its not very nimble, if you do a roll it will crash. But it makes up for it in strength and power save. This car is one of those 2 cars that send stuff flying whenever they touch them. Also, if you do manage to get a stunt off in one, it’s power save les you keep it for a while.
The Radical One
This is the racing car. It has amazing top speed, handling, and accel. It’s also excellent for stunts. I have almost nothing to say about this car, besides the fact that when jumping, you can sometimes miss the hoop or checkpoint because you g so high. Also, I tend to get cocky and have a bad landing after a for sure “what the?”
The Dr. Monstaa
Basically the el king but faster and with better control. Easily my favorite car. It the second one that can send cars flying when you touch them. Also, its fast enough to be considered a racer too.
Racing Tricks
There are some basic skills to racing that can really help you get through levels.
One is the forward loop. To perform this you go off a ramp and then hold space and up. This will send you into a roll and also force you downward at a higher rate. This gets you power and back onto the track faster than any other trick, if you land it correctly.
Another is track skipping. This is a very simple one where you just disregard the track and head directly to each checkpoint.
Here’s a trick that’s kind of a bug exploit. Get in a fast car. Then, when you start the race head straight into the car in front of you. If all goes well, you should take same damage, go straight through the forward car, and shoot off into the distance, or take off into the sky if there is a ramp in front of you.
And finally you should always keep in mind that not every jump is vital.
Wasting Tricks
There are some wasting tricks to know:
First, hit “a” to switch the arrow to point at cars.
Only challenge cars you know you can beat. If you see an el king charging at you, get out of the way.
When you hit someone, or get hit, try t use it to your advantage. If you get launched into the air, don’t do anything and you might get some power from doing a 360 or more. Better yet, if you get chucked into the air, hit space and do some tricks.
If you are in a big car, try these tricks:
The Tailspin
When you are about to hit another car, do a turning stop and hit them with the tail end of your car. This should hit them like a baseball bat.
The Juggle
Try as hard as you can to get on top of a car, either by crawling on top of them or being a total god and landing on them from a jump. Then while they are wiggling, just drive forward and they will keep hitting you, usually wasting themselves.
The Cheap Shot
Hit them when they are upside down.
The SAM (Surface to Air Missile)
This is probably the hardest and rarest wasting trick. Follow a slow car with a faster car up a ramp and hopefully, you will slam into them in midair, either sending them in a funky direction or sending them spinning into the ground.
If you are in a small car, try these:
The Grand Slam
Get in a car like the radical one. What you do is get maximum power and then ram into another car head on. You will either fly back while the other car spins out of control or you will go under their car and they will vertically launch.
The Slide
This is for use on small cars. Come off a jump and then just let your car slide into another car, sending them spinning.

Radical One is the best! Ive done all of those tricks apart from the tailspin and ive got some mutiple wastes that I can tell you how to do when I want to.
p.s Ive completed the game 14 times and I have to say level 6 is the hardest when el king goes backwards, now I cant wait till Need For Madness 2 comes out!

Radical One is good for “What the?!” and “What is your name again?” tricks. Dr. Monstaa is good for wasting. EL KING would be wasting. Lead Oxide and MAX Revenge for racing. The rest is for normal stuff. Don’t try to waste someone with Formula 7.
Glitch: When you get wasted, you lose, but if you get wasted and go flying, you might be lucky and go through a fixing hoop, if you go through, your car gets fixed, and you’re not wasted!
This game is like the best!
Use Wow Canario for Lv1, Lv2.
Use MAX Revenge for Lv3, Lv4. (RACE!)
Use Lead Oxide for Lv5, Lv6.
Use El King for Lv7, Lv8.
Use Radical 1 for Lv9, Lv10.

I beat this game after 4 days. No reason really to cheat. Just know that sometimes it’s better to ram and destroy, while others, it’s best to evade and go through the checkpoints. My question is: how do you save the game? I know it automatically saves, but I had to format recently and lost the game. Now I would like to save the levels as I progress. I tried sorting the files based off of last modification (aka whenever I play) but the files never have any updated dates to them. I am not playing online either. How do I save?????? I’d like to copy the save to a CD so I can put onto another pc. Any ideas?

hey heres a wasting trick FOR ONLY CARS AS STRONG AS WOW CANINARO OR STRONGER: The Torture Trick: hit any car and if they start to spin keep hitting them as many tims as u like. Beware!: if u are hitting el king or dr monstaa u might take serious damage. This is how to beat the level “The Fast, The Furious, and The Radical, 1st way: Get into La Vite Crab and race regularly. Chance of winning, 7 out of 10.
2nd way: Get into EL KING and go the wrong way (press a so the arrow points at the cars). Chance of winning, 9 out of 10.
in one rare occasion, i hit a car into the ring, and they revived
ok here is a way to perform tricks like what the or who are you again?:press up and right or down right or left down or right down and hold it while in midair untill you have done at least 5 of these rollflips then land perfectly. HAPPY RACING!:)

This game is awesome, Dr Monstaa is the best vehicle in the game (nimi is the worst). I believe NFM 2 is coming out in the near future (to be honest, I don’t think it will be as good as the first one). Anyway, walkthrough:

also, there are A LOT of glitches in this game (NFM1), like with DR Monstaa – sometimes u go through him and u can actually use Radical One as a ramp with some cars!!

Yes, you can hack it if you download the game in http://www.arcadetown.com/ Just go in C:Program Files/Needformadness_at and tracks. I hope it will help.
i did that, i went in my C: folder and i found the folder, but how do i excatly do it?
i copied the exact options from 1 map to make another, just changing a few settings laps and atmosphere and track itself and saved it as ‘12′ in the track foldre, but it didnt identify it.
Is it that i have to edit one of the existing maps? cause if that is so, then a back-up is neccessary, and ill hope no errors occur… if any1 has more info on this plz do post it!

On the lvl 11 get Dr. Monstaa and begin waste every body. Here is one cool trick to waste the cars from first try. Get up to speed with minimum power 75%, find some one who is going straight for you head on colision. Before coliding right before them turn for eather side. You should hit them with your front one wheel depending which way you turned. That should waste the other car in one try. Also if you turned a bit too early, the rear wheel should hit the front of the other car, which should waste the car the same way. HAPPY WASTING!!!

Ok, Now I am going to tell you a trick.
Open the Stages directory.
There you will find some txt files. Open the file whose name is the number of stage on which you are stuck.
Edit that file. nlaps is the number of laps.
Hope this worked.
cool thAanks that really workes with radical one when someone has crashed and you run into them and they fly i just did that with radical one against dr.manstaa
heres i trick from me.first you go onto a ramp.then you press space and up and down together.when you cant get through the place you get cleaned use that trick then you will jump higher.
oh yeah the trick i taught u its best on the big rampson lvl8. if u have full power and use my trick u will float right over the checkpoints.

I once did in EL King, DR monstaa , RadicalOne and LeadOxide with La vite crab… all personally wasted myself…
Best round i played… I wasted ELking by pushing him into the wall and slamming him and then sending him flying when he tried to heal after that… DR monstaa was trying to fly off a ramp and i sent him flying instead… a lot of damage done there… R1 was busy doing stunts… not much effort used there… Awesome game…
This is involving RadicalOne and maybe LaViteCrab too.. My game got reset(that happens occasionally, so i have to play from the start again
) and when i played with RadicalOne BEFORE i completed stage 11 and AFTER i completed the stage, i noticed that he was considerably STRONGER after completion… The same exact hit from DR monstaa which wasted R1 before completion barely did 40% damage after completion… And R1’s attacks seem to have gotten MUCH stronger after completion… Kind of crazy, but i think it might be true…. The same effect could be observed for LaViteCrab… I dunno about the other cars cause i mainly only use R1 and LVC.. Maybe someone could test this theory out?.. 
(And I could not even come close to portraying the kind of insanity posted in the comment above before completion…)

on lv.6, formula 7 seems to be suicide, but with its fast turning, you can avoid el king. i cant beat that track with any other car
For htose of you stuck on Stage 8 because of me(Radical One) here’s a tip:
Get EL KING and once the race starts, immediately head in the opposite direction.Once you reach the ramp with the electrical hoop, stay right in front of it(don’t go too far ahead or Radical One will jump over you).Once Radical One comes over the giant ramp just ahead,he should speed straight for you.Once this happens, drive straight towards him and once you make contact, you will go flying in the air but Radical One will sustain some damage and he should miss the hoop.Do this 3 times.
Here’s a good trick to know when you’re trying to waste some big guys(like EL KING). Get someone with good aerial control and strength like Radical One or DR.Monstaa and ram EL KING into the wall facefirst.Then quickly ram him and he should take on at least 85% damage.This trick works with any cars(you can even waste DR.Monstaa with Nimi).I used this trick to defeat both EL KING & DR.Monstaa on Stage 10:Confusion in an Illusion.
My favourite car is Radical One because he is better than EL KING and he can waste DR.Monstaa (who is supposed to be better than him).
Nimi sucks like hell(maybe even worse)

Lvl 2-La vite Crab-race if you have no chance of winning)
Lvl 3-MAX Revenge-waste Lvl 11-DR.Monstaa-waste

Lvl 6-MAX Revenge-race
Lvl 7-EL KING-waste
Lvl 8-EL KING-waste

Never do a grand slam into DR Monstaa – its just suicide

here is an invincibility cheat go to lvl 5 as f1 and as soon as u go left till u get 2 those gate like thingies and keep hitting them till u syop losind health sometimes this happens when u r a nother car so just drive through thr elect hoop and the f1 will follow and then you can pound it warning this also happens when u arem f1 so if u get invincibility dont go through the hoop oh and by the way can anyone tell me how to beat lvl 10 by racing and wasting

i once got a glitch that was so cool! i was playing as el king on lvl 10 and i was abowt to heal when docta monstaa hit me from behind. i got wasted and went up the hill and through the hoop. i was lagging so it glitched. i healed but i was still on fire!!!! it was so cool!!!! i want it to happen again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys wuts up i beat the dominator so now im the undefeated champ in this area. to beat level4 u use wow caninaro if u r beginning. just sayin its a reely cool wasting trick i did but i hit dr m he flew off the ramp hit f7 and blew up then f7 flew into el king who popped up outta nowhere then they all blew up and elking hit lead oxide n blew him up so i won. anyway im the undefeated champ in speed, strength, tricks, and any other stat. soooo l8r
