Mobilegamer: Need for Speed Undercover
This game is definitely a must have for mobile gamers on the move.

Need For Speed fans won’t be disappointed in this newest installment of the NSF series for mobile gamers. The graphics for this game pop out at you immediately. Hot upgraded cars cut corners and eat up the pavement, accelerating through crowded public streets in unsanctioned races. Whether outrunning the cops, or chasing down Rude Boys to the finish line, these adrenaline enhancing missions should sound familiar to anyone used to a Gameboy, Playstation, or Nintendo DS. Except, unbelievably, this game is on your phone!
With the LG Versa by Verizon Wireless the game comes with a free Demo option to show off the devices tilt sensitivity. You can marvel at the realistic street pavement fly past you as you drift around corners trying to beat your competition to the finish line. The device’s internal accelerometer rotates and controls games using left or right movements. No on screen steering will or clumsy button combination to master you can really get into the moment as you cut corners with the steering wheel like motions.
The story line is similar to the 2003 EZ game version of the same name. There is a safe house where you store and upgrade you car, choose races and even purchase other vehicles. There is a pretty girl, the girlfriend in the gaming console NSF version, that tells you the missions and expectation at the between and at the beginning of the races. You start off with the Volkswagen R32, but once you have enough money to afford them, there are models of BMW, Nissan, Audi, etc, with some such as the Mercedes Benz SL665 AMG which need to be unlocked through game play.
The game is fairly easy to catch on to, even for newcomers to the Need For Speed series. I won my first demo race even after rubbing the paint off a few cars at the starting line and then smacking a wall somewhere towards the middle of the race, oh, and never mind that one car that I hit head on. The point is the tilt function of this devices is a perfect compliment for this game. The only thing noticeably missing from this games design is the superstar laden soundtrack that fans will be used to from the Need For Speed series. The generic polytone beat that blares in the background quickly becomes mundane. The vibrate mode and the use of it to accentuate impact and collisions is another smart addition of the handset’s standard function.
After playing the demo version you are then able to download the full version at $3.99 for a subscription or $9.99 for unlimited use. The application’s total size is just 3.13MB’s of your phone’s memory, so it isn’t anything that will impede or slow down the natural performance of the device. I give it four out of five joysticks. This game is definitely a must have for mobile gamers on the move.

sounds hot, there is a rumor of a console on http://www.boygenius report.com. will it be usuable 4 this game 2 since it has already come out before the console has been released?

I’m going to see if my carrier has this game too. Probably not T-Mobile SUCKS!!!
Saw this game posted in an EA chatroom and downloaded it last night. Dude, I stayed on it at the bar until like 3am. Love it like a drunk hook up! I do know what you are saying about the music though. The lack of catchy tunes was a bit noticable.
I unlocked the suburbs last night. I’ll probably buy a new car on my break while I’m at work. Long live NFS!
