Sims 3 New Features

The Original Sims was released in February 2000 with few features and no real point or goal in the game. Then in 2004 the sequel The Sims 2 was released and had more features and gave wants and fears to your sims. Now The Sims 3 was released in June 2009.

There are many new features including a new seamless neighborhood, new design options and improved create-a-sim mode.

Seamless neighborhood

The new seamless neighborhood allows your sims to leave their home with out having to load their destination. Your sims can now walk, run, ride a bike or drive a car around town and go to a workplace, watch a show movie or game, shop for books or groceries, visit the park or a friends house or go to the library public pool or a restaurant.

New Design Options

With the new design option in the sims 3 you can add the many preloaded designs to clothing, furniture, walls and floors, basically anything you can think of. After you add the designs to each of the parts on your object you can change the colors. With those two options the design possibilities are endless, you can create anything you can think of.

Improved Create-a-sim mode

Possibly the most changed feature is the Create-a-sim mode. The traditional 1-10 scale on neatness, niceness, activeness (etc.) was replaced with a new pick 5 character traits for your sim. The new traits vary from insane to genius, daredevil to coward, evil to good, klepto, childish, active, neat, schmoozer, light sleeper and many many more.
