Sony: Playstation Network Hack May Happen Again

Sony: PlayStation Network hack may happen again.

It has been labeled as the biggest Internet security breach in history so far – do I need to mention it? Of course, I’m talking about the outage.

Sony now know exactly how they managed to do it, but not who. Sony have now managed to restore everything (apart from the PS Store). And, although beefing up security to something more appropriate, Sony still can’t give gamers that reassurance that it won’t happen again.

Oddly enough, Kazuo Hirai, head of SCE, ended praising the skill of the hackers.

In a statement, he said: “No security system is absolutely foolproof, and changing conditions in the future can make a currently secure environment less secure.”

“These gaps in what we know are not for lack of trying by experts, but rather an unfortunate testament to the skill of those who perpetrated the attacks. Some aspects of the intrusion may never be known.”
