Once Sam fond out what DeFoe was offering it didn’t take long to get the rest of the crew on board. Laela was all for it from the beginning because she knew that it was important I had all of the Sadian knowledge that I could get my hands on. This was something we could all get behind in one way or another and that meant that we were perfect for the job.

It wouldn’t take us long to get across the Atlantic but with Tiggal keeping an eye out for us I knew we needed to be careful. As I told DeFoe, I didn’t want him dead but I would kill him if I had too. This was a big test for us and if the stuff on the list was there then this would be the greatest find that I had had at that point. I couldn’t let Tiggal mess that up since all he would be interested in was the gold.

“All sails are full Captain.” Sam said with a smile.

I found out after my conversation with DeFoe that Sam had been interested in DeFoe’s daughter since she had come of age about three years before. Since she had spent her life around seamen it seemed right that she would fall in love with one. Sam was always kind to her and she had known him since she was a child so he was the perfect one to fall for. DeFoe didn’t approve of the match but not just because Sam was a Privateer but because he was so much older than she was. The way I saw it was that Sam was about the age a Sadian should be when he marries a normal human but that’s not the view of an overprotective father.
